Enjoy years of trouble-free performance without ever having to change out a lamp, or recalibrate your system due to lamp changes over time. Our BluHD technology uses a high-output blue laser as the primary light source, generating the three R-G-B primary colors by first shining onto a special phosphor wheel, which when spinning creates yellow light. The yellow light is broken down further into red and green primaries, which together with the diffused blue laser light is directed onto an ultra-fast Texas Instruments DLP ® HD chip set – then fired through the optics and onto your projection screen. The DLD-280FD system produces 5000 ANSI peak white performance – a terrific high-powered solution for large dedicated home cinema screens, or for those more challenging higher-ambient lighting room conditions. Four primary optics choices permit placement up to and well beyond 5X screen width, and is eminently suitable on screens up to 16-ft [~5 meters] in width. The slim-line, rack-mountable Wolf Cinema ProScaler MK III video processor serves as the advanced signal processing nexus for your video system. The processor renders all current SD and HD sources with absolute precision, minimizing motion lag or undesired visual artifacts. The ProScaler MK III boasts an advanced CMS calibration suite for accurate renderings, no matter the source – enabling professionals and enthusiasts everywhere to achieve excellent color accuracy and ultra-wide contrast levels in all viewing modes. Standard definition sources (such as from DVDs and television broadcasts) are up-converted and displayed with improved visual depth, dimension, and reality. Per-pixel video de-interlacing, 10 bit video processing, MPEG mosquito / temporal and block artifact noise reduction provide vast improvements on marginal HD and SD sources. Dual HDMI 1.4a inputs and a single HDMI 1.4a output provider connectivity to the laser projector head. The ProScaler MK III also boasts our popular technology known as E-VariScope™: quick access to viewing modes when enjoying popular TV and film content on constant height, 2.35:1 wide aspect ratio screens. E-VariScope brings you that immersive 2:35:1 CinemaScope™ widescreen experience while eliminating those unwanted top & bottom “black bars,” as commonly experienced on smaller-width 16/9 screens – and all without the need for an external anamorphic lens [yet full anamorphic lens support is also provided].
