DC /DC Converter Unit (DCCU )
The DCCU converts the unregulated 24 volts DC power into regu lated
logic voltages (+5v, -5v, +12v) which the system needs to operate. The
DCCU is required for system operation and also provides -48vdc to
supp ort sp ecialty cards (i. e.: DIDB). Up to 1 amp of -48v dc per cab inet ca n

Common Control Cards
The common control cards are the plug-in PC Bs that a re necess ary for
basic system operation or require direct interface to the system bus.

Master Processor Board (MPB)
The MPB controls the s ystem. It is powe re d f rom the ba ckplane and has
access to the system bus and signaling (HDLC) bus. It also controls the
PCM bus.
