Language 
The camera has 9 built in languages for you to choose. Once you select the language of your choice all the 
menus and messages on the LCD screen will appear in the language you selected.

Frequency 
This setting allows you to select the correct frequency in your country for Fluorescent light wave cycles. If the 
frequency is not set correctly for your region you will see wavy lines on your LCD when you are in an area of 
fluorescent light. The solution is to change the frequency option. 
     50 Hz is the frequency for UK and Europe 
     60 Hz is for the United States.

Date 
This allows you to set the system time which will be displayed on the photos. 
1. Touch the Next icon function area until you see the “Date” option.

Format 
This  function will  format the  memory  card  and  will  erase  all  files  in  memory  including  files  that  have  been 
protected. 
Important: Please use this function with caution. Once formatted all the images stored in the memory will be 
erase. This process is irreversible. Please download all images to the PC before formatting the card.

Warning: Do not plug your camera into the computer until the software installation is complete 
You  must  be  connected  to  the  internet  to  install  and  run  the  Vivitar  Experience  Image  Manager 
software.
