Press the Up button. 2. The „Auto Flash‟ icon will appear at the top of the LCD indicating that the Auto Flash is turned on and ready to use. 3. Press the Up button again to change from the Auto Flash to the Red Eye function. 4. The „Red Eye Reduction‟ icon will appear on the LCD indicating that the Red Eye Reduction function has been activated. 5. Press the Up button once more until you see the „Forced Flash‟ icon appear on the LCD screen. This indicates that the flash is f orced on. 6. To turn off the flash function, press the Up button again until the „No Flash‟ icon is displayed on the LCD. Note: A “Low Power” message will appear on the LCD screen, if you select the flash function when the battery power is insufficient. To continue using the camera with the flash, please install new batteries.

Press the T button to zoom in on your subject. 2. Press the W button to zoom back out. PHOTO CAPTURE MODE MENUS Image Resolution Menu The def ault setting is 3M if no SD card is inserted. For higher resolution image changing please insert a SD memory card first. 1. Press the Menu/OK button. 2. Press the Up/Down button to select the RESOLUTION option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button. 4. Press the Up/Down button to select one of the following resolutions : (7M) 3072x2304 pixels (5M) 2592x1944 pixels (3M) 2048x1536 pixels (2M) 1920x1080 pixels (VGA) 640x480 pixels

Press the MODE button to return to the Photo Capture mode. Note: Different image resolutions will aff ect the photo quality. High resolution photos will be of better picture quality and theref ore will take up more camera memory capacity than lower resolution photos. Photo Frequency Menu The Photo Capture mode allows to you to set the frequency bef ore capturing the photos. Different regions of the world require diff erent light frequencies. To set the photo frequency: 1. Press the Menu/OK button. 2. Press the Up/Down button to select the FREQUENCY option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button again. 4. Press the Up/Down button to select either: 50 HZ 60 HZ

Anti-Shake Menu Your digital camera has a function that prevents photos coming out blurry as a result of trembling or shaking while the photo is being taken. This function allows you to take good quality photos even without the use of a tripod. To set this function: 1. Press the Menu/OK button. 2. Press the Up/Down button and select the ANTI-SHAKE option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button. 4. Use the Up/Down button to select either: “On” - to activate and turn the Anti-Shake on. “Off” - to leave or turn the Anti-Shake off. 5. Press the Menu/OK button to confirm. 6. The Anti-Shake icon appears on the top of the LCD screen. 7. Press the MODE button to return to the Photo Capture mode.

Press the Up/Down button and select the LANGUAGE option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button. 4. Use the Up/Down button to select one of the following languages: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Turkish 5. Press the Menu/OK button to confirm and save your choice. 6. The camera menus and interf ace now appear in the language that you selected. 7. Press the MODE button to return to the Photo Capture mode. Default Menu You can reset your camera settings to the def ault f actory settings. 1. Press the Menu/OK button. 2. Press the Up/Down button and select the DEFAULT option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button. 4. Use the Up/Down button to select either: “No”- to keep current settings.

PHOTO CAPTURE MODE BUTTON FUNCTIONALITY Macro/Far Switch Macro/Far shooting allows you to capture objects at very close range (up to 80 cm) or very f ar distances. 1. Slide up the Macro/Far switch on the left side of the camera to the position. 2. The flower icon will appear on the LCD screen and indicates that the Macro shooting is on. 3. For normal or for far shooting slide down the Macro/Far switch to the position. 4. The mountain icon appears on the LCD screen to indicate that the far shooting is on. The mountain setting gives you maximum depth-of-field you can possibly get with the lens you are using. You now can have the overhead branch in focus as well as the mountains in f ocus - and everything in between! Self Timer You can include yourself in a photo by using the Self Timer f eature to delay the time between your pressing the shutter and when the photo is actually taken. It is recommended that you use a tripod or place the camera on a flat and secure surf ace when you use the Self-Timer.

Press the Shutter button. 4. The camera will begin to emit beeps and a 10 seconds countdown appears on the LCD accompanied by a flashing red LED light. 5. At the end of the 10 seconds the camera will automatically take the picture. 6. To use the Self-Timer again simply press the Shutter button once more. 7. To exit the Self-Timer mode press the Down or Timer button. 8. The Self-Timer icon on the top left corner of the LCD will disappear and the camera icon will reappear indicating that the camera is set back to the Camera/Photo Capture mode. Delete In Photo Capture mode, you can quickly delete the last photo you have taken: 1. Press the Right button. 2. A Delete File message will appear on the LCD with a „Yes‟ or „No‟ option. The „No‟ option is selected by def ault. 3. Press the Left button to choose the „Yes‟ option (this will be underscored) or press the Right

Video Capture Mode The Video Mode allows you to shoot high quality AVI movies. In order to use this mode an SD card needs to be inserted into the camera. TAKING VIDEOS 1. Insert a compatible SD memory card. 2. Power on your camera. 3. Press the MODE button once. 4. The Video icon now appears in the top left corner of the LCD. 5. Press the Shutter button to start capturing the video. The elapsed time appears on the bottom right corner of the LCD. 6. Press the Shutter button to stop the recording. The video will be saved as an AVI file on the memory card. Note: 1. “Insert an SD Memory Card” will appear on the LCD screen as soon as you enter the Video mode

You can playback the AVI file by using Quick Time or W indows Media Player once it has been downloaded to your computer. VIDEO CAPTURE MODE MENU Video Resolution Menu The video mode allows to you to set the resolution size bef ore capturing the video. The higher the resolution, the better the quality of the captured video. To set the video resolution: 1. Press the Menu/OK button. 2. Press the Up/Down button to select the RESOLUTION option. 3. Press the Menu/OK button again. 4. Press the Up/Down button to select either: 640 VGA (Higher resolution) 320 QVGA (Lower resolution) 5. Press the Menu/OK button to confirm. Note: By def ault the video resolution is the higher 640 VGA.

Press the Right button. 2. A Delete File message will appear on the LCD with a „Yes‟ or „No‟ option. The „No‟ option is selected by def ault. 3. Press the Left button to choose the „Yes‟ option (this will be underscored) or press the Right button to move back to the „No‟ option if you decide not to delete. 4. Press the Menu/OK button to confirm. Playback Mode You can preview your photos and video in the Playback mode. 1. Power on your camera. 2. Press the MODE button twice to enter the Playback Mode. 3. A Playback icon will appear on the upper left corner of the LCD. 4. Press the MODE button to exit and revert back to the Camera/Photo Capture or Video Capture modes. Note: “NO FILE” will appear on the LCD when there are no photos or videos in your camera.
