    4.3 Self-timer  
     
    n Press  Mode  to select 
     
    n Press  Shutter      
     
    n The self-timer LED will blink and the camera will beep for 10 seconds. 
     
    n Camera will capture an image. 
    ¬ If you want to disable  Self-timer capture  function just  
    press  Mode  to select 
     
    4.4 Using Flash 
     
         : Automatic Flash mode (flash fires automatically when required by current exposure setting.) 
      
    n        : Flash Off 
     
    n The working range for the flash is 3 to 6 feet, (Best is 3 - 4 ftn When taking Images with the flash, the Busy LED on 
    the back of the camera will blink after you press the    
    Shutter    button, indicating that the flash is recharging preparation for the next shot.

    4.5 AVI video capture 
     
    n Press  Mode  to select Video Capture function       (The camera will automatically switch to 320 x 240 resolution.) 
             
     
    n Press and hold   Shutter  to start a video recording. 
        
    n  The camera will beep while video is captured. Note: the 
    frame rate will vary depending upon scene complexity.     
                  
    n To stop movie recording, release the shutter button.  
    Recording will also stop when memory is full. 
     
    4.6 Deleting Images and Movies 
     
    1. Delete all Images and Movies:        
    n Press   Mode  to select  
     
    n Press   Select    until you hear two beeps 
     
    n             The camera will delete all images and movies,the counter will reset to  0     
    2. Delete last image or movie: 
     
    n Press  Mode  to select 
     
    n Press  Select   until you hear two beeps

    n             The camera will delete last image or movie and               the counter will decrement. 
    4.7 Selecting the image resolution 
     
    n  :640 x 480 pixels (default setting) 
    (The camera should take about 50 Images) 
    n  : 320 x 240 pixels 
               (The camera should take about 160 Images)                  
    4.8 Selecting a shooting environment 
     
    n           : Outdoor 1 (Default setting. Use this setting for taking images outdoors on a cloudy day.) 
     
    n           : Outdoor 2 (Optional. Use this setting for taking images outdoors on a sunny day.) 
      
    n           : Indoor 1 (Optional. Use this setting for taking  images indoors in bright conditions.) 
     
    n           : Indoor 2 (Optional. Use this setting for taking  images indoors in dark conditions.)

    5.1 Computer System Requirements 
     
    Please verify your PC meets the system requirements before 
    installing the software: 
     1. Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP (Service Pack 1 if USB 2) 
     2. Pentium 300 MHz, or higher CPU 
     3. CD-ROM drive and USB port 
     
    Note: The camera connects to your computer in two ways: 
    1) As a USB mass storage device. This is the most common 
    mode for transferring images from camera to computer. Only Windows 98 users need a driver. All others may simply 
    connect to your PC and look for removable disk icon. 
    2) As a PC/webcam. All PC users must install the driver. 
     
    5.2 Installation of Vivicam Driver on Windows 98SE, ME, 
    2000 and XP (for PC/Web cam feature) 
     1. Turn on your PC. 
     2. lnsert the software 
    CD into your 
    CD-ROM drive. 
     
    The following screen 
    will appear: 
     
    Click on lnstall Vivicam 
    Driver.

      down arrow and highlight your selection. 
      
    Click  OK  to proceed to next step. 
    4. Your computer will display as follows:

    1. Insert the CD installation disk into your CD-ROM drive. 
    2. The following Window will appear:

    Once you have driver and utility software installed,  
    you may download (transfer) your images to your computer. 
     
    6.1 Connecting Vivicam to your Computer 
     
    Use the USB cable to connect the camera to your computer. 
              
          VIVICAM10              Computer 
     
    Connect one end of the USB cable to an available USB port on your computer. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB connector on the camera. The camera will power on 
    automatically. 
     
    The LCD panel on camera will show  and the camera will beep. (The default setting for the camera is USB Mass Storage) 
    From the Windows desktop double click on “My Computer” 
     
        
    						
    							Downloaded from www.Manualslib.com manuals search engine   Look for a new “removable disk” icon. This “removable disk” is actually the memory in your camera. Typically, the camera will be assigned drive letter “e”, or higher. Double click on the 
    Removable Disk icon and locate the DCIM folder.  
     Double click on the DCIM folder to open it to find another folder named 100media. Double click to open this folder. Your recorded images and movie clips will be inside this folder. Still images will be JPG files and movies will be AVI files. 
     
    Create a new folder on your computers hard drive. Select the images that you want, then choose “Copy” from the “Edit” menu. Open the destination location (folder) and choose “Paste” from the “Edit” menu. You may also drag and drop image files from the camera to a desired folder location on your computer. 
     
    Once your images are saved on your computer’s hard drive, you may use any image editing software to view and edit them. You may use the Arcsoft applications from the cameras CD 
    ROM or any other that you may prefer. (Note: Arcsoft 
    applications are for PC only.) 
     
    Mac users: double-click the “I Catch V” disk drive icon on our 
    desktop. iPhoto or iPhoto 2 may automatically launch. 
     
    Desktop/LX users: follow PC instructions.

    PC users can connect the camera to their PC and use 
    it as a PC camera. 
    1. First, make sure you have installed the driver. 
    2. Turn on the camera. Press and hold the Select button until the LCD panel displays:  . 
    3. Keep pressing the Select button and then connect the 
    USB cable to Vivicam and to your PCs USB port. 
    4. Release the Select button after you hear a beep from 
    camera which means the PC cam function is ready. 
    5.  Refer to the instructions for your video software about using a PC camera. Windows XP user may use Movie Maker. 
        (Select  Vivicam 10&20  if your software has video 
    capture source list.)   
     
     
    ? lmportant Note: 
    1.You must continue to press and hold the Select 
    button while the the camera is connecting to your PC
    Wait for the camera confirmation beep which signals that the PC cam function is ready. 2. If you wish to switch back to USB mass storage mode un-plug the USB Cable, turn the camera off and then 
    on again. Then, re-connect to PC without pressing the select button.
