Rotate the mode dial to [ ] playback mode. 2. Press the menu button. 3. Scroll through the options using the / buttons, and press the button. 4. Change a setting by using the or buttons and press the OK button. After a setting is completed, the screen returns to the playback menu. 5. To exit the playback menu, press the menu button. PROTECT This feature prevents images from being deleted accidentally. Refer to section in this manual titled “Protecting Images and Video Clips” for further detail. SLIDE SHOW Your camera can display your images sequentially as a slide show. Refer to section in this manual titled “Slide Show Display” for further detail. RESIZE Using the resize feature you can reduce the size (resolution) of image to 320 x 240 pixels or 160 x 120 pixels to create a smaller image. 1. Select [RESIZE] using the / buttons from the playback menu, and press the button. 2. Select the image using / buttons, and set the size with the OK button. 3. Select [EXECUTE] using the / buttons from the playback menu, and press the OK button. To exit without resizing, select [CANCEL], and press the OK button. Movie clips and images captured on another camera cannot be resized. If your SD memory card is LOCKED, images cannot be resized. NEXT MENUSOUNDNEXT MENU POWER OPERATION SOUND SHUTTERSOUNDSELECT ON ON Setup Menu Setup menu items: SOUND, AUTO POWER OFF, CUSTOMIZE, LANGUAGE, VIDEO OUT, TIME & DATE and SYSTEM. 1. Rotate the mode dial to [SET-UP] setup mode. 2. Scroll through the options using / buttons, and press the button. 3. Change a setting by using the or buttons and press the OK button. After a setting is completed, the screen returns to the setup menu. 4. To exit the setup menu, rotate the mode dial to any other position. SOUND This option allows you to turn camera function tones (beeps) on or off. While the confirmation tones are often welcome feedback to the photographer, there are occasion where silent operation is required and the function beeps are not desired. you may disable all sounds or you may specify shutter and operational tones individually. 1. Select [SOUND] using the / buttons from the setup menu, and press the button. 2. Press the button to display the tab menu, select [OFF] or [SELECT] in the tab menu using the / buttons, and press the OK button. [OFF] : All function beeps and sounds are disabled for any camera operation, including shutter. [SELECT] : Function beeps are enabled. If you selected [SELECT], proceed to step 3 for further sound control. If you selected [OFF], press the button to return to the setup menu. 3. Select an item using the / buttons, and press the button. [OPERATION] : Enables/disables beeps when a camera operation has been performed [SHUTTER] : Enables/disables the shutter sound. 4. Select [ON] or [OFF] using the / buttons, and press the OK button. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to set all items, then press the button. The screen returns to the setup menu.

This feature is useful to reduce battery consumption. Select from: [1 MIN], [3 MIN], [5 MIN] CUSTOMIZE Set the color and state of the front LED and the camera welcome screen that is displayed when power is turned ON. [LED COLOR] : You change the front LED colors to your preference. LANGUAGE Specify the language for menus and messages on the LCD monitor. The provided languages are [ENGLISH], [Français], [Deutsch], [Español], [ ], [ ], [ ] VIDEO OUT In order to play back images and movies on a TV you must select the video output standard according to the country in which your camera is used. [NTSC] : Select this standard when located in the U.S.A., Canada, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Central America, or Mexico. [PAL] : Select this standard when located in Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland,Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Italy, Kuwait, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand or Norway. TIME & DATE Set current date and time. Refer to section in this manual titled “Setting the Time and Date” for further detail.
