GETTING STARTED
You may use either 4 AA size batteries (Alkaline or Ni-MH), 2 CR-V3 Lithium battery packs
or an AC power adapter (optional accessory) to power your camera. Battery power is
convenient for capturing images or video clips while an AC adapter power is useful when
transferring recorded images to your computer.
Installing the Batteries
1. Make sure the camera is turned off.

Using an SD Memory Card (optional accessory)
Images and movies taken with this camera are stored on an SD memory card. An SD memory
card must be present to use the camera.
1. Make sure the camera is turned off.
2. Open the SD memory card door.
3. Insert an SD memory card (512 MB or less.)
The face of  the memory card (printed label side)
should face towards the front side (lens side) of the
camera.

Setting the Time and Date
The Time & Date screen will be presented if/when:
The camera is turned on for the first time.
The camera is turned on after removing the batteries/
AC power adapter or replacing the batteries.
When the date and time setting screen appears, follow
the steps to set the correct date and time. You may skip
this procedure by choosing CANCEL.

CAPTURING IMAGES
Automatic Photography Mode
In this mode, images can be taken easily as the camera adjusts the majority of the settings.
Simply point at your subject and press the shutter button to capture an image.

2. Turn the camera on by sliding the POWER switch.

Select the appropriate scene mode such as [AUTO] AUTO, [  ] PORTRAIT,
