    Step 1: Installing the USB Driver on Windows Computers
    The USB driver on the supplied CD-ROM is exclusively for Windows 98. Installing the USB
    driver on computers running Windows 2000/Me/XP is not necessary.
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the camera into the
    CD-ROM drive.
    The welcome screen appears.
    2. Click “Install USB Driver”. Follow the on-screen
        instructions to complete the installation. After the USB
    driver installation is complete, restart your computer.
    Installing the USB Driver on Macintosh Computers
    Mac OS 8.6 users must install a USB driver. For Mac OS 9.0 or higher version, the
    computer will automatically recognize the camera and load its own USB drivers.
    1. Insert the CD-ROM that packaged with the camera into your CD-ROM drive.
    2. Select and double-click “Digital Camera Driver Installer”.
    3. Select “Install Location” and click “Install”.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and restart your computer.

    Step 2: Connecting the Camera to Your Computer
    1. Connect one end of the USB cable to an available USBport on your computer.
    2. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB connector on the camera.
    3. Rotate the mode dial to PC [ 
     ].
    4. Turn the camera on. Your computers operating system will recognize the camera.
    5. From the Windows desktop double click on “My
    Computer”.
    6.  Look for a new “Removable Disk” icon. This “removable disk” is actually the memory
    (or memory card) in your camera. Typically, the camera wil be assigned drive letter “e” or
    higher.
    7. Double click on the removable disk and locate the DCIM folder.
    8. Doule click on the DCIM folder to open it tofind more folders such as “100CAMERA”.
    Your recoreded images and video clipswill be inside these folders.
     Copy & Paste or Drag-N-Drop image and video files to a folder on your computer.
    Step 3: Downloading Recorded Images and Video Clips
    When the camera is turned on and connected to your computer, it is considered to be a
    disk drive, just like a floppy disk or CD. You can download (transfer) images by copying
    them from the “removable disk” (“untitled” disk on a Macintosh) to your compu\
    ter hard
    driver as described in the prior section.
    For Computers Running Windows
    Open the “removable disk” and subsequent folders by double clicking on them. Dou\
    ble
    click on the folder. Your images are inside these folder(s). Select the images that you want,
    then choose “Copy” from the “Edit” menu. Open the destination location (folder) and c\
    hoose
    “Paste” from the “Edit” meun. You may also drag and drop image files from the camera to a
    desired location.
    For Computers Running Mac OS and Desktop/LX
    Open the “untitled” disk window and the hard disk or the destination location.  Drag and
    drop from the camera disk to the desired destination.
     It is recommended that you use the AC power adapter as a power supply for the c\
    amera
    while transferring your images and video clips from the camera to your computer to avoid the
    camera maybe cut off unexpectedly when the batteries run out.
     Memory card users may prefer to use a memory card reader (highly recommended). Memory
    card readers offer advantages in terms of convenience, speed, and cost-savings. While
    connected to your computerthe batteries in your camera will be continue to be used. A card
    reader, which has no batteries and uses USB power from your computer, will save
    considerably on batteries.
     Mac user: Double-click the “unlabeled” disk drive icon on our desk\
    top. iPoto may automatically
    launch. The volume label may very depending upon whether you use internal camera memory, or
    a memory card.

    INSTALLING PHOTOSUITE
    PhotoSuite is a very user-friendly image-editing program. With PhotoSuite, you can retouch,
    compose and organize your images. It contains a variety of templates, such as photo frames,
    birthday cards, calendars and more. Get your images ready and go explore this amazing
    program.
    To Install PhotoSuite
    1. Inset the CD-ROM packaged with the camera in to the
    CD-ROM drive.
    The welcome screen appears.
    2. Click “Install PhotoSuite”. Follow the on-screen
    instructions to complete the installation.
    For information on how to use PhotoSuite to edit and retouch your recorded images, please
    refer to its online help.
    For Windows 2000/XP users, make sure to install and use the PhotoSuite while logged in as a
    user with an Administrator account.
    PhotoSuite is not supported on the Mac. iPhoto or iPhoto2 is recommended.

    INSTALLING PHOTOVISTA
    PhotoVista is an easy-to-use program that lets you create spectacular 3600
     panoramic
    images in a snap. When you view these panoramas, you get the experience of being totally
    immersed in a realistic environment. PhotoVista’s powerful engine quickly and
    automatically stitches images together, and its intuitive interface will let even a novice get
    great results in minutes.
    To Install PhotoVista
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the camera into the
    CD-ROM drive.
    The welcome screen appears.
    2. Click “Install PhotoVista”. Follow the on-screen
    instructions to complete the installation.
    For information on how to use PhotoVista to create spectacular 3600 panoramic images,
    please refer to its online help.
    For Windows 2000/XP users, make sure to install and use the PhotoVista while logged in as a
    user with an Administrator account.
    For Windows XP users which OS version does not include Service Pack 1 or higher, be sure
    to link to http:java.sun.com/getjava/download.html first and download the Java Virtual
    Machine installation. For more detail information about Java, please refer to its on-line help at
    http:java.sun.com/getjava/help.html.
    After java software installation, you can start to install iSee Media Photovista Panorama.
      Hereunder is iSee Media Photovista Panorama system requirements and recommendations:
    Windows 95/ Windows 98/ Windows NT 4 (Service Pack 3 or higher)
    Windows 2000*/ Windows Me*/ Windows XP* (Service Pack 1 or higher)
    PhotoVista is not supported on the Mac.

    INSTALLING ACROBAT READER
    The supplied CD-ROM contains the user’s manual in PDF format, allowing you to read and
    print if you have Acrobat Reader installed in your computer. Follow the steps below to
    install Acrobat Reader first.
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the ca-mera into
    the CD-ROM drive. The welcome screen appears.
    2. Click “Install Acrobat Reader”. Follow the on-screen
    instructions to complete the installation.
    For Mac users:
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the camera into the
    CD-ROM drive.
    2. Select and double-click “Install Acrobat Reader”.
    3. Select and double-click the language that you perfer.
    4. Double-click “Reader Installer”.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the
    installation.

    USING THE USER’S MANUAL
    A copy of the user’s manual is provided on the CD-ROM in PDF format.  It is a backup copy
    of the printed manual.  If you misplace the printed guide, you may print another copy from
    the CD-ROM.  The only requirement for viewing the User’s Manual on the CD-ROM is that
    you have Acrobat Reader installed in your computer.
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the ca-mera into
    the CD-ROM drive. The welcome screen appears.
    2. Click “Install User’s Manual”. Follow the on-screen in-
    structions to complete the installation.
    For Mac users:
    1. Insert the CD-ROM packaged with the camera into the
    CD-ROM drive.
    2. Select and double-click “Install User’s Manual”.
    3. Select and double-click the language that you perfer.
    4. Drag and drop the PDF file from the current location
    to the destination location.
    5. View the user’s manual by opening it.

    MENU OPTIONS
    Automatic Photography Menu
    Automatic Photography menu items: ISO, DIGITAL ZOOM, QUALITY SETTING, CREATE
    FOLDER, PICTURE, DISPLAY SETTINGS and LCD BRIGHTNESS.
    Your setting will be retained in after the camera is turned off.
    1. Rotate the mode dial to [ 
     ] automatic photography
    mode.
    2. Press the 
     menu button.
    3. Scroll through the options by using the  / buttons,
    and press the  button to open any submenu.
    4. Change setting using the 
     or   buttons and press
    the OK button.
    After a setting is completed, the screen returns to
    the automatic photography menu.
    5. To exit the automatic photography menu, press the 
    menu button.
    ISO
    Select the photographic ISO to be used. The higher the
    ISO sensitivity value, the greater sensitivity, but the
    greater the noise. With a higher sensitivity selected,
    images can be taken with less light.
            [AUTO 200] : ISO 70 to ISO 200, Automatic
      selection by camera
            [AUTO 400] : ISO 70 to ISO 400, Automatic
      selection by camera
            [ISO70] : Equivalent to ISO 70
            [ISO100] : Equivalent to ISO 100
            [ISO200] : High-sensitivity photography, equivalent to ISO 200
            [ISO400] : High-sensitivity photography, equivalent to ISO 400
    DIGITAL ZOOM
    You must activate the digital zoom function in order to
    use it. Whereas some photographers prefer not to use
    digital zoom this feature may be enable or disabled.
    [ON] : Enables digital zoom photography
    [OFF] : Disables digital zoom photography

    Set the image resolution.

    Create new folders. This function is handy for separating
    your images by subject, date, time, or place. This
    feature allows you to manage your images on your
    camera, thereby simplifying the management of images
    on your computer.
     Your images are recorded to the new folder you made
    starting from number 0001.
    PICTURE
    This feature allows you to set the color, sharpness, and
    contrast of your images.
    1. Select [PICTURE] using the 
     / buttons from the
    automatic photography menu, and press the  button.
    2. Select one of [COLOR], [CONTRAST] or [SHARPNESS]
    using the 
     / buttons, and press the  button.
    3. Select the setting item using the 
     / buttons, and
    press the  button.
    [COLOR] : [NORMAL] : Color
      [VIVID] : Bright colors (more color saturation)
      [MONOCHROME] : Black-and-white (grayscale)
      [SEPIA] : Sepia (old fashion brownish tones)
    [CONTRAST] : [NORMAL] : Automatic
      [HARD] : Sharpens the edges of objects in the image
      [SOFT] : Softens the edges of objects in the image
    [SHARPNESS] : [NORMAL] : Leaves the image detail as captured
      [HARD] : Sharpens the edges of subjects in the image.
      [SOFT] : Softens the edge of subjects in the image.

    DISPLAY SETTINGS
    The display setting menu allows you specify how you wish
    to display the photography tab menu.
    1. Select [DISPLAY SETTINGS] using the 
     / buttons
    from the automatic photography menu, and press the
     button.
    2. Select the item using the 
     / buttons, and press the button.
    [DISPLAY SETTINGS] : [AUTO] : Display the photography tab menu only
      momentarily then auto-hide
      [ON] : Always display the photography tab menu
    LCD BRIGHTNESS
    This option adjusts the brightness of the LCD monitor.

    Manual Photography Menu

    5. To exit the manual photography menu, press the 
    menu button.
