It can capture digit al images, short video-clip s (conti nuous shooting mode), and it can also serve as a PC/W eb camera. The V35 is equipped w ith 8 MB of memory to store y our images and movie clip s. You may dow nload y our images and movie clip s to y our computer using the USB cable and included sof tware. 1.2 W arnings and Precautions - 1.2.1 FCC ST ATEMENT - This device complies w ith Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the follow ing tw o conditions: 1. This device may not caus e harmful interference, and 2. This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limit s for Class B digit al devices, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limit s are designed to provide reasonable protec tion against harmful interference in a residential inst allation. If the batteries leak clean and w ipe the battery comp artment carefully and inst all new batteries. Wash y our hands carefully if y ou touch the battery fluid. Please note that w hen y ou remove the batteries y our images w ill be lost from the camera memory . Check with your ret ailer for specifics. 1.4 Sy stem Requirement s - You must use a computer to dow nload the images from y our V ivicam 35. The computer that y ou use must meet the follow ing minimum requirement s: 1. Window s Me/2000/XP 2. Direct X 8.0, or higher 3. 128 MB RAM 4. 60 MB hard disk sp ace available 5. Available USB port 6. Step 2: Insert three AAA batteries w ith the polarity as show n: Step 3: Close the battery cover . Warning: Do not open the battery door w hen the camera is pow ered ON. This w ill cause all images in memory to be lost immediately . If you open the battery door when the ca me ra is OF F (when ch anging t he ba tteries) you must close the door w ithin thirty (30) sec onds or y our images w ill be erased from memory . Notes: 1. Always download your im ages to your com puter soon af ter you have captured them . Never assum e your im ages will be retained for m ore than three or four days. If the batteries are depleted, your im ages will be lost. 2. If you m ust change the batteries, m akes sure the cam era is OFF -6-

If you will not use the camer a for a long ti me (several days, or more) remove the batter ies. The batter ies will dischar ge slowly if lef t in the cam era. This m ay cause com plete battery discharge as well as loss of im ages. The batteries m ay corrode if lef t in the cam era for extended periods of tim e. 4. Dispose of batteries properly in accordance with local laws and regulations. Do not place them in fire. 5. The V ivicam 35 has an autom atic power -saving feature. The cam era will turn of f autom atically if it has not been used af ter approxim ately thirty (30) seconds. 6. When the cam era is connected to a com puter using a USB cable, it is not necessary to use batte ries because the cam era uses the power provided by the com puter through the USB interface. -7-
