- 7 - Preparing Your Camera for Use Battery Installation Your camera requires one (1) AAA battery. Alkaline battery recommended. Insert the battery into the camera: 1. Open the battery cover at the bottom of the camera. 2. Insert the battery according to the polarity (+ and -) indicated on the inside of the battery compartment. 3. Close the battery cover.
