Vision™ Series Models 10, 15, 65, 70 & 85 DLP™ Home Theater Projectors Going Beyond Home Theater™ * * THX certification applies to Vision Model 85 only
Vidikron® proudly presents a full line of home theater projectors based on the la\ test generation of single- chip DLP™ light engines. Each produces outstanding blacks, superior c\ ontrast performance, maximum screen brightness and an accurate color palette. Six models offer a choice of features and resolutions and all include Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix ® video processing technology to enhance picture quality and provide arti\ fact-free scaling. Vidikron’s sophisticated parameters for white balance and color gamut control have also been implemented for precise balance of gray scale and\ color space. Every model has been engineered to comply with the Imaging Science Foundation™ (ISF) standards for proper setup and calibration ensuri\ ng maximum home theater image quality. Also common to each is a custom-friendly RS-232 interface with discrete power on/off, discrete input selection and discrete aspect ratio control with IntelliWide® \ to accommodate any automation system. The Vision™ Model 85 is the most high-performance single-chip DLP™ 1920 x 1080 (1080p) projector available. Its performance is so impress\ ive that the Vision™ Model 85 earns prestigious THX ® certification, joining our flagship Vidikron products as the world’s first to be THX certified. The Vision™ Model 85 incorporates a state-of-the-art light engine with Vidikron’s exclusive V2 Aperture Control™ enabling an ideal balance between black and white levels for each individual installation. Complementing these features is award-winning CineWide™ or CineWide w\ ith AutoScope™, which make 2.35:1 superwide movies come to life, filling the entire screen without black\ bars and no loss of resolution. Vision Model 70 Vision Model 85 and VHD Controller Vision Model 65
The Vision™ Model 70 is a 1080p projector designed to deliver the highest \ level of performance with expanded installation flexibility. It features a newly designed lamp-cooling system, integrated with our Du\ alV Stage Illumination (DVSI™) system for multiple lamp intensity levels. Vidikron’s exclusive V2 Aperture Control™ and electronically-controlled iris s\ ystem are included and the projector’s precision optics package features power zoom (accessible via remote c\ ontrol), power focus and comprehensive electronic lens shift. Vidikron’s award-winning CineWide™ and CineWide™ with AutoScope™ technol\ ogy options revolutionize the 2.35:1 movie viewing experience, eliminating those useless black bar\ s for full, screen-filling enjoyment. The Vision Model 65 has been engineered to produce the top-quality 1080p pict\ ure performance and installation flexibility commonly associated with projectors costing f\ ar more. V2 Aperture Control™ features an electronically-controlled iris syste\ m and power zoom control and motorized vertical lens shift adjustment make installation smooth and ea\ sy. DVSI™ provides two selectable lamp intensity levels while a newly refi\ ned lamp cooling system increases efficiency and reduces noise levels. The Vision Model 65 is Vidikron’s most affordable 1080p projector offering the ultimate Vidikron technology options – CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope. The Vision Model 15 and the extended throw distance Vision Model 15ET use 1280 x 720 native resolution DLP™ light engines featuring Vidikron’s advanced technology for bright, pristine, high-definition images. Both the Vision Model 15 and 15ET feature horizontal and vertical lens shift, providing the kind of installation flexibility custom specialists need. The Vision Model 15ET is also available with Vidikron’s acclaimed CineWide technology. The Vision Model 10 boasts this same full-featured performance and Vidikron picture quality at a resolution of 1024 x 576. CineWide™ and CineWide with AutoScope™ Until now, viewing movies presented in the CinemaScope™ 2.35:1 format has meant the presence of useless black bars on the top and bottom of yo\ ur screen. It has also meant a possible loss of resolution because widescre\ en digital imaging chips are in the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, not nearl\ y as wide as 2.35:1. Through the magic of Vidikron’s award winning CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope technology and the use of an appropriate screen, constant\ vertical height is maintained, filling the entire screen area. When you transi- tion from a standard 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen aspect ratio to 2.35:1 C\ inema, the picture simply gets wider — really wide, just as you would experience in a quality cinema. While CineWide provides a fixed anamorphic lens, with the AutoScope op\ - tion the anamorphic lens in motorized and remote controlled. A conventional 2.35:1 image displayed on a 1.78:1 (16:9) screen.Constant Vertical height and full resolution are maintained. 100% of pixels are used. Black bars are eliminated. Black bars = lost resolution CineWide™ TechnologyConventional Method 2:35:1 image area How it works: The video processor anamorphically “stretches” the 2.35:1 image ve\ rtically to completely fill the display’s imaging chip’s. This allows all pixels to be used. 2.35:1 Image on a 16:9 imaging chip 16:9 Image Area VERTICAL STRETCH REMOVES BLACK BARS SQUEEZED APPEARANCE The anamorphic lens then “stretches” the image width to 2.35:1. Co\ rrect geometry is restored, while 100% of the pixels are now used to maintain \ full resolution and eliminate black bars. STRETCH CineWide and CineWide with AutoScope requires the use of a 2.35:1 or similar aspect ratio superwide screen. IMAGE AREA 16:9 IMAGE AREA Vision Model 15/15ET Vision Model 10
