Vision™ Model 100 LightAmp™ DLP™ Projector Going Beyond Home Theater™
Vidikron’s flagship Vision™ Model 100 is one of the most remarkable video projectors available today — specifically developed to produce high definition video in a wider variety of today’s increasingly popular home entertainment environments — family rooms, great rooms, dens and living rooms. Most video projectors are typically installed in dedicated, darkened hom\ e theater rooms with controlled lighting, seating and acoustics. However, with today’s increasingly wide array of entertainment choices — HDTV, video gaming, computing and more — Vidikron has created an ideal solution for everyone who prefers having th\ e ultimate entertainment system in the same “great room” used for everyday li\ ving. Vidikron responded to this tough design challenge by creating the Vision Model 100. The Model 100 has been engineered to produce high quality, ultra bright pictures even in rooms with high ambient light levels. The result is often a plasma-li\ ke picture on a very large projection screen, viewable in daylight conditions with drapes open or lights ablaze!
Until now, mounting a front projection system in even a modestly lit family room was a nearly insurmountable challenge. Uncontrolled light spray from windows, skylights and room lamps typically “wash out” a front projector’s image, making it unwatchable — it simply vanishes in the room’s higher ambient light levels. The Vision Model 100’s breakthrough “LightAmp” technology is the perfect solution for these challenging environments with high light levels. The projector’s exceptionally high brightness has the “horsepower” to produce a spectacular image in many such situations. In addition, when mated to some of today’s advanced new screen technologies, the Vision Model 100 can help achieve brilliant whites, deep black levels and true-to-life colors for both day and night viewing. Television shows, video gaming, family photo albums and movies have never looked so good with a projector. Equally important, the Vision Model 100 offers unparalleled installation flexibility, including six lens options to cover a wide range of projector to screen distances. In addition, generous vertical and horizontal electronic lens shift solves extremely complex installation challenges enabling the projector to be mounted well off center of the screen. The Vision Model 100 is the perfect solution for today’s real-world home entertainment enthusiasts. Vidikron accomplishes this by incorporating advanced 3-chip, high defin\ ition DLP™ technology with superior optics and the company’s trademark Imagix™ video processing. These technologies are combined into a specially designed LightAmp™ light engine. Vidikron’s engineers developed this breakthrough LightAmp design to produce an amazing 3500 ANSI lumens of light output (CSMS™ Light Output of 78.5 ft-Lamberts), resulting in the perfect blend of high quality image reproduction with e\ xtremely bright light output. The Vision Model 100’s 16:9 native aspect ratio DMD™ array makes it ideal for widescreen movie viewing, while its 3-chip, 1280 x 720 native resolution\ produces crisp, crystal clear high definition pictures with richly saturated colors, d\ eep black levels and natural, highly refined image details. Vidikron’s exclusive all-digital Imagix™ video processing is integrated into the projector chassis for the most advanced video scaling and image quality available.\ This design provides pure digital connections from input to light engine for absolut\ ely stellar pictures from virtually any source. In addition, Vidikron’s multiple aspect ratio control features its unique IntelliWide™ mode for viewing standard video formats on widescreens without significant \ loss of image quality. Discrete IR and RS-232 control, and lens shift capability make custom \ installation seamless, while discrete source and aspect ratio selection accommodate t\ oday’s advanced automation control systems. The Vision Model 100 is available in our Classic White or Graphite Grey chass\ is to blend seamlessly within any home decor. LightAmp™ Your Room with a View
Presenting CineWide™ with AutoScope™, an exciting new widescreen technology option for the Vision Model 100 LightAmp™ digital video projector. Until now, viewing movies presented in the CinemaScope™ 2.35:1 format has meant the presence of black stripes on the top of your screen. It has also meant a possible loss of resolution because widescreen digital imaging chips are in the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, not nearly as wide as 2.35:1. Through the magic of CineWide with AutoScope and the use of an appropriate screen, constant vertical height is maintained, filling the entire vertical screen area. When you transition from a standard 16:9 (1.78:1) widescreen aspect ratio to 2.35:1 Cinema, the picture simply gets wider — really wide, just as you would experience in a quality cinema. CineWide technology does this by using the entire pixel array of the imaging chips, resulting in no loss of resolution. This also provides increased brightness because the chips’ entire reflective surface is utilized. AutoScope provides a fast, seamless transition between aspect ratios through a motorized system that automatically positions the anamorphic lens assembly when the Cinema 2.35 aspect ratio is selected. Vidikron’s exclusive CineWIde with AutoScope is a technology solution specifically engineered for your Vision Model 100 high definition projector, and Hollywood’s widest presentations. * Patent Pending *
Electronic House has Awarded CineWide with AutoScope “Product of the Year “ for 2005 .
Vidikron’s unique CineWide™ with AutoScope™ technology provides uncompromised widescreen reproduction of movies originally filmed in ultra-wide aspect ratios such as CinemaScope® 2.35:1 / 2.40:1 and more. It maintains constant vertical height on the screen just as in a movie theater. When a viewer transitions from 1.78:1 (16:9) program material to 2.35:1, the image simply gets wider while full height is retained. Through a combination of software, electronics and remote controlled motorized anamorphic optics, the projector is able to use the full pixel array on its LightAmp™ DMD™ chips, thereby producing a 2.35:1 image with enhanced resolution and increased bright- ness. No resolution is lost to annoying black stripes on the top and bottom of the screen that contain no picture information. Available as an option for the Vision Model 100, Vidikron’s CineWide with AutoScope system delivers the ultimate home cinema widescreen experience.
