Installation Considerations
Proper installation of your projector will ensure the quality of your display. Whether you are 
installing a projector temporarily or permanently, you should take the following into account 
to ensure your projector performs optimally.

Throw DistanceThrow distance is the distance measured from the front of the projector to the screen. This is 
an important calculation in any projector installation as it determines whether or not you 
have enough room to install your projector with a desired screen size and if your image will 
be the right size for your screen.
You can quickly estimate the throw distance by taking the width of the screen and 
multiplying it...

Vertical and Horizontal 
Position 
Proper placement of the projector relative to the screen will yield a rectangular, 
perfectly-centered image that completely fills the screen.
Ideally, the projector should be positioned perpendicular to the screen and in such a way 
that the lens center is aligned with either the top or bottom edge of the screen area, and 
centered horizontally. See

Vertical Lens ShiftYou can use the lens shift (LENS) controls on the projector remote to center the image on the 
screen. Vertical lens shift is generally expressed as a percentage of the screen height, as 
shown in

bring the mounting points for the projector mounting plate (included with the projector 
ceiling mount kit) from the bottom of the projector up and around the AutoScope lens motor

Install Lens Motor: 
1. Position the AutoScope Lens Motor (item #2) as shown in Figure 3-7. 
2. Line up the mounting holes on the lens motor housing with those on the underside of
