These frequencies can change depending on local interference sources or other frequency issues. Your scanner is preprogrammed with all of the drivers and their possible frequencies that were known when it was manufactured. These codes are commonly referred to as CTCSS, DCS, or subaudible tones. You can use these same codes to prevent interference from other systems. 1.
