7 Connecting a Computer The projector ships with an analog computer cable. If your com- puter has a digital output, you can order the optional digital com- puter cable. Using a digital source generates the highest quality and brightest image possible. 8 Setting up the Projector Connecting a Video Player If your video player uses a round, one-prong composite video connector, use the composite video cable. If your video player uses a round, four-prong S-video connector, use the S-video cable. S-video generates a higher quality image. NOTE: HDTV sources must be connected to the projector using the computer cable (not the video cable). 9 Powering up the Projector and Adjusting the Image NOTE: Always use the power cord that shipped with the projector. 1Remove the lens cap. 2Plug the power cord into the back of the projector, then plug it into your electrical outlet. 12 Using the Projector The projector is equipped with a self-locking, quick-release eleva- tor foot and button. 16 Using the Projector Using the On-Screen Menus The projector has menus that allow you to make image adjust- ments and change a variety of settings. These adjustments aren’t available directly from the keypad. NOTE: Some menu items may be grayed out (dimmed) at certain times.
