Each telephone on the network must be assigned a unique IP address. The address can be assigned automatically by a DHCP server, or entered manually at the phone. Telephone operating software can be updated from a TFTP server. The update process can be initiated manually at the phone, or set to occur daily at a preset time. You can use the defaults, or enter a new lease duration for telephone IP addresses. Lease duration should be set to 7 days or longer. 9. Select Yes on the Configure IP Options screen.
