11 Planning a route in advance You can use your GO to plan a route in advance, selecting your starting point and your destination. Here are some more reasons to plan a route in advance: • Find out how long a journey is going to take before you start. You can also compare journey times for the same route at different times of the day or on different days of the week. Your TomTom GO uses IQ Routes when planning a route. IQ Routes calculates routes based on the real aver- age speeds measured on roads. •...

Voice command and control5. 13 Voice command and controlInstead of tapping the screen to control your TomTom GO, you can now give instructions to your GO using your voice. For example, to increase the volume on your GO, you can say, "Increase vol- ume." Important: To use command and control, you must have a computer voice installed on your TomTom GO.
