The M-08s simplicit y, portabilit y, and affordable price point mak e it a perfect fit for a number of different applications.
Portable PA - One Man BandMany music acts in bars, lounges and small clubs consist of oneto three people pla ying with some kind of pre-recorded tr ack for accompaniment.  (MIDI tracks, stereo mixes from DAT, CD  or cassette, etc.)  In these situations, there are only a few mics from the performers, and a few stereo inputs from a k eyboardor two and the drum machine.  The M-08 easily handles that, and even offers a 2 tr ack output for recording the performance.  No need to carry around a huge mix er to get quality sound!
School PA - Lecture Hall Installation - PresentationsWhether the applications is a pep assembly or a presentation tothe board of directors, the needs are t ypically for a few mic inputs for the presenters, and a few stereo inputs for cassettedecks, CD players, and other multimedia sources.  The M-08 isprimed for these applications.  The other k ey to most schooland business installations is to keep the operation simple.  Theend user of the system will t ypically have little to no tr aining insound applications.  The M-08s str aight forward layout canhelp prev ent problems caused b y inexperienced users.
Live/Studio Submixer - Keyboard MixerThe M-08 can also act as a submix er in a larger application.  Itcan mix a few microphones, synths, or more to feed into alarger console.  The sound quality of the M-08 will maintain production values of any level in liv e and studio applications.
Utility MixerIts a four channel mic preamp .  Its a line leve converter .  Its a submix er.  Its a small P A mixer.  Its for installs.  Its for portablesystems.  In short, its a problem solv er.  Name the application,and theres a place for the M-08.
