is accomplished at the touch of a few buttons. The REV MODE, SYNC REV and PARALLEL RECord buttons enable you to program how the two decks cooperate. The tape transport buttons and the tape operation section enable you to access either side of a tape cassette whenever you wish. This flexibility makes the 202 MKIII useful in a variety of recording and playback situations, without the need for constant tape flipping or recording set up. You can PLAY material on Deck 1 while Deck 2 RECords, on one or both sides. You can RECord simultaneously on both decks from an external master. You can PLAY back both sides of one or both decks in a continuous loop, up to five times. An AUTO REVERSE function automatically reverses tape direction during playback and record. REPEAT rewinds tape and allows infinite looping during play- back. And for unattended operation, the TIMER switch allows you to program the unit for a future preselected PLAY or REC function, when used in concert with a standard commercial timer. The press of a single button also enables you to instantly begin dubbing from CD player to tape deck. Two Recording Speeds While recording, use “real time”, 1 7/8 inch-per second speed when you want to monitor the dub, or select 3 3/4 inch-per-second High Speed Dubbing when you want to save time or make many copies of a proven master.
