    CD-RW2000
TA SCAMs CD-RW2000 builds on the success of the CD-RW5000 and the CD-RW700, and is the most adv anced stand alone CD-Recorder on the mark et. At the heart of this recorder is a TEAC CD-RW mechanism, one of the most reliable and robust systems a vailable. The audio I/O section lea ves no format out, and the unit can be controlled via the included wired remote or par allel control. When you need the v ery best, get the CD-RW2000.

    PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The CD-RW2000s feature set is complete enough for man y high end applications, yet the machine is affordable enough for the a ver age user .
Personal Studio - Project Studio - Production Studio
In personal studios, a mixture of professional and consumer gear , and often find himself struggling to get the pro gear and consumer gear connected. The project\
studio is usually stocked with pro gear, but they have to interface with consumer gear brought in b y clients. The CD-RW2000 offers ev ery twochannel I/O format: balanced and unbalanced analog I/O , SPDIF coax and optical I/O, and AES/EBU I/O . No matter what lev el your studio is, y ou wont have to go looking for an y format converters or adapters.
The CD-RW2000 alsoto integr ate into a large digital en vironment as a CD player without ha vingto be the word clock master . To solv e track ID problems when performing digital tr ansfers from a DA T, MiniDisc, or other digital format, a RAM buffer has been added to ensure tight ID mark ers without fear of clipping the start of the audio. Also, the SCMS code status menu allows the user to select between SCMS free, allow one cop y, or cop y prohibit modes. Plus, digital gain adjustment and fades allow y ou to boost low recordings without going back to analog, and to provide smooth programmable fades.
DJs - Live Sound Applications - Radio Broadcast - Show Control
The CD Recorder to incorpor ate live CD pla yer functions. This design offersengineers the abilit y to use the same unit for producing and pla ying their sound cues, promotional spots, or background tr acks.
The CD-RW2000the audio in the track, rather than the ID number . (This means that there is no loag from when you hit play until you hear audio .) The call function allows the user to check the cue before pla ying it for the audience. Fader start and other functions are all a vailable through the par allel port, offering control directly from a broadcast console, or show control systems. An \
Auto R eady function instructs the CD-RW2000 to stop pla ying at the next start ID, so radio situations dont accidentally roll into the next tune. Liv e sound users like the automatic cueing for the next tr ack.

The CD-RW2000 w as designed to be more than just a professional CD-Recorder , it was designed to serv e double duty as an advanced CD player for liv e or studio applications. This dual function design makes it highly adv antageous in liv e theaters, radio production and broadcast en vironments, as well as recording studio en vironments.
Ruggedthe best reliabilit y and longevity we have used the v ery best CD-R technology in the business. It just so happens that our parent company TEAC is one of the worlds leading data stor age manufacturers, and is consistently winning awards for their CD-R design and products.
The CD-RW2000and qualit y at any price point.
Incremental Play Function advances to the next tr ack when stop or pla y are pressed.
Auto Ready Functionenvironments lik e theater and r adio environments frequently . Auto R eady will pla y one track at a time, pausing at each tr ack start ID it finds. This function sa ves a tremendous amount of time for engineers, since each sequential sound cue is automatically loaded.
Call Functiontime location where pla y began. This is typically used for checking a cue point, allowing y ou to be sure you are recalling the exact position you started from.
Auto Cueaudio in the tr ack, not the location of the start ID . This means better response time at the start of the tr ack, since dead space is eliminated.
Selectable SCMS - CD-Recorders to limit the unauthoriz ed distribution of recorded material. In professional environments, duplication of digital program is a regular necessit y. The CD-RW2000 allows the user to select the SCMS status written from Allow One Cop y, Allow No Copies, or SCMS Free (No R estriction.)
Input Monitor without engaging the CD-RW mechanism. This is useful when setting levels, or using the CD-RW2000 for its high qualit y A/D and D/A converters.
Professional I/Oformat a vailable, including AES/EBU and balanced analog. F or precise analog integration, the analog I/O has attenuation ports for properly aligning meters. F or digital studios, Word Clock In is provided, allowing the CD-RW2000 to pla y CDs without needing to be the clock master.
Digital Level Adjustment and Digital Fadeswill frequently be used to tr ansfer audio from DAT, MiniDisc, or another CD . If the originally material w as produced too quietly, theCD-RW2000 has the abilit y to boost the recording lev el. Also, builtin digital fade in and fade outs can be used to ensure smooth fadecurves.
Sample Rate Conversion44.1kHz, most machines include a sample r ate converter to allowdigital links, ev en if the original is not at the right sample r ate. TheCD-RW2000 also allows the user to bypass the converter , should the original recording be already made at 44.1kHz. This impro ves the sound qualit y by eliminating an y conversion processing.

    APPROVED MEDIA LIST
    Notes on CD-R media:
Quality andmanufacturers will v ary from brand to brand. This has to do with different manufacturing processes of both the CD-R media and the CD-R mechanism. (Some media that does not work well with one CD-R mechanism ma y work reasonably with another .)
In orderare posting an approved list of media for use. Media from each of these manufacturers w as written to and verified. The media listed as OK is preferred. The media listed as NR t ypically workedbut had a higher error r ate, so it is not recommended. Mitsuimedia is used as the target media reference, so y oure alwayssafe with those.
W e ha ve tested and 80 minute CD media, and the mechanisms will recogniz e and use the full length of the CD.
