PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The optional RC-601mkII remote control allows frame-accurate search using the jog wheel, direct location
using numerical keys, index searches or flash starts. In addition, the CD-601mkII can store up to 10 cue
points per CD; controlled directly using the Flash Start function. Many other features like Pitch Control,
Auto Cue with five-threshold levels, Auto Read and CD Text are all designed to reduce stress before the
program goes on the air.

The TASCAM CD-601mkII is an updated
version of the radio-standard CD player.
With its comprehensive remote control and
flexible monitoring and playback options,
the CD-601mkII goes far beyond the
capabilities of traditional CD players for
broadcast. The operator can select between
online play (on the air) and monitor play
(pre-listen), controlling whether CD
playback reaches the on-air mixer or the
monitoring device.

TASCAM CD-601mkII

The CD-601mkII is a ½ rack, 3U rack-mountable professional-use CD player. (Rack-tray sold
separately) The CD player features two professional playback modes online playback mode and
monitor playback mode for rehearsals. Each of these playback mode signal’s can output from
different output terminals. The CD-601mkII is equipped with standard features such as Pitch
Control (12%+/-), Timer play, Power-on-play, CD text display, Headphone Out w/level control,
and single frame accurate cueing. Multiple playback modes include incremental Play, Single Play,
Programmed play, Instant Start, and Auto Cue. A Failsafe function is included to prevent
inadvertent operation during playback of final take.
The CD-601mkII is equipped with serial (RS-232) and parallel control and word clock in and thru.
Analog inputs are via balanced XLR. Digital inputs via unbalanced S/PIDF and AES/EBU via
XLR.
