TA SCAMs 202mkIII is a cost -effective, rugged dual- well cassette deck designed to offer reliabilit y, simplicit y and audio qualit y.  Both cassette wells are capable of recording for making two masters at a time.  Useful pla ying features lik e Intro Check and Blank Scan help the user find the music and k eep it playing by avoiding dead tape spots.  Microphone inputs in the front of the 202mkIII offer con venient inputs for occasional liv e recordings.  The high speed dub feature giv es quick one-offs for rehearsal tapes or high quality reference dubs.

Home For musicians trying to mak e the best recordings of their music, the 202mkIII offers outstanding sonic performance.  The abilit y to create twomasters at once is also helpful.  One copy could be sent to the copyrightoffice, and youve got another identical cop y for yourself .  Two identical copies could also be gener ated for yourself and y our co-writer.  Or, you could simply ha ve more 1st gener ation copies for distribution.  When youv e got multiple mix es on a single tape, the Intro Check feature willhelp you find the particular tune y oure looking for by searching throughthe tape and playing the first 15 seconds of each tune automatically .
Other beneficial functions include reference copies for other musicians to get more familiar with the music\
 before the session.  For higher quality dubs, single speed duplication isalso possible for demo tape production or back -up copies.
Even if y oure Scan feature can search for the next tune if it detects 10 seconds of silence, and also offers continuous pla y so the music doesnt stop.  This is also great for music in between sets at the gig.
Music EduBand, Choir, Theater and Dance progr ams often need to be able to mak e copies of rehearsal tapes for their performers to pr actice with.  The 202mkIII makes these quick and painless.  The front panel mic input isalso useful for spontaneous or regular recordings of the group so theycan hear their progress.

FRONT AND BACK PANEL
ARCHITECTS SPECIFICATIONS
The cassette pla yer/recorder shall be a dual cassette deck, offering the abilit y to record on one or both wells of the deck.  
Inputs and outputsconnectors on the rear panel.  The input lev el shall be controlled by a single stereo input lev el control, aidedby a separ ate balance control.  Headphone output shall 
be provided on the front panel.
Dolby™  B and Croom extension shall be implemented.  Noise reduction method shall be switched from the front panel.
The dual high speed (2x) dubbing capabilities.
The dualpla y and search capabilities, including Blank Scan and
Intro Check.  Blank Scan shall search for the next song if the deck detects 10 seconds of silence in the progr ammaterial.  Intro Check shall search for each track, playingthe first 15 seconds of each tr ack.
The dual mount form, using three standard r ack spaces.  The cassette mechanism shall have dimensions of 19 x 5.7 x 11.2 
(W x H x D). 
Metric measurements : 482 x 144 x 284mm (W x H x D).
The dual cassette deck shall be a TASCAM 202mkIII.
