Sunbeam are very safety conscious when
    \fesigning an\f manufacturing consumer pro\fucts,
but it is essentia\b that the pro\fuct user a\bso
exercise care when using an e\bectrica\b app\biance.
    Liste\f be\bow are precautions which are essentia\b
for the safe use of an e\bectrica\b app\biance:
Read carefully and save all the instructions \frovided with an a\f\fliance.
Always turn the \fower off at the \fower outlet \before you insert or remove a \flug. Remove
    \by gras\fing the \flug - do not \full on the cord.
Turn the \fower off and remove the \flug when the a\f\fliance is not in use and
    \before cleaning.
Do not use your a\f\fliance with an extension cord unless this cord has \been checked
and tested \by a qualified technician or
    service \ferson.
Always use your a\f\fliance from a \fower outlet of the voltage (A.C. only) marked
    on the a\f\fliance.
Close su\fervision is necessary when your a\f\fliance is \being used near children or
    infirm \fersons.
Never leave an a\f\fliance unattended while in use.
Young children should \be su\fervised to ensure that they do not \flay with the a\f\fliance. Do not use an a\f\fliance for any \fur\fose
    other than its intended use.
Do not \flace an a\f\fliance on or near a hot gas flame, electric element or on a heated oven.
Do not \flace on to\f of any other a\f\fliance.
Do not let the \fower cord of an a\f\fliance hang over the edge of a ta\ble or \bench to\f or touch
    any hot surface.
For safety reasons and to avoid maintenance \by unskilled \fersons, some a\f\fliances are
    ‘sealed’ using tam\fer\froof screws. Such
a\f\fliances should always \be returned to the
    nearest Sun\beam A\f\fointed Service Centre
for adjustment or re\fair if required.
Do not o\ferate any electrical a\f\fliance with a damaged cord or after the a\f\fliance has \been
dro\f\fed or damaged in any manner. If damage
is sus\fected, return the a\f\fliance to the
    nearest Sun\beam A\f\fointed Service Centre
    for examination, re\fair or adjustment.
For additional \frotection, Sun\beam recommend the use of a residual current
device (RCD) with a tri\f\fing current not
exceeding 30mA in the electrical circuit
    su\f\flying \fower to your a\f\fliances.
Do not immerse the a\f\fliance in water or any other liquid unless recommended.
If you have any concerns regarding the \ferformance and use of your a\f\fliance,
\flease visit www.sun\beam.com.au or contact the Sun\beam Consumer Service Line.
Ensure the a\bove safety \frecautions are understood.

    Rice
    Tips fo\b cooking \bice
    – Results may vary depending on type of rice used.
    – For fluffier rice, add a little extra water and for firmer rice, add a little less water.
    – Should you happen to add too much extra water, the excess water may overflow during cooking.
Sometimes it is a good idea to cook the rice with the recommended quantity of water first and
then if the rice is still crunchy, a little extra water can be stirred through and the ‘COOK’ lever
    activated again.
    – Cup measure provided equals approximately 135g of rice. If you misplace the measuring cup provided please refer to the quantities using a metric cup in the table(s) following. Please note
that cooking times may vary due to slight differences between the cup provided and a metric cup.
