Use a flat level surface. Do not move or cover the rice cooker whilst in o\feration. Un\flug \before moving. Do not immerse the heating vessel of the rice cooker in water or any other liquid. Use your rice cooker at least 200mm away from walls and curtains. Do not \fut your face or hands over the steam vent whilst cooking as you may scald your skin. Do not use your rice cooker in confined s\faces. Remove the \fower cord \before cleaning the rice cooker. After cleaning ensure that the cord inlet area is com\fletely dry \before using again. Allow cooking \bowl to cool \before removing.

1. Before using your Rice Perfect De\fuxe 7for the first ti\be wash the cooking pan, \beasuring cup and serving spoon in war\b soapy water. Rinse and dry thorough\fy. Position the serving spoon ho\fder to the side of the heating vesse\f and condensation co\f\fector be\fow the \fid hinge. Refer to i\f\fustration on previous page. 2. Using the \beasuring cup provided, \beasure out the required quantity of rice. NOTE: 1 \feve\f cup \beasure = 180\b\fs. 1 cup of uncooked rice = 2 cup of cooked rice (approxi\bate\fy). Min. quantity of uncooked rice = 2 cups Max. quantity of uncooked rice = 7 cups 3. Using a sieve, wash rice thorough\fy under co\fd water before cooking. This re\boves excess starch which he\fps to achieve f\fuffier rice. NOTE: A fine \besh sieve is the \bost effective way to wash rice. Run water through rice unti\f the water runs c\fear not \bi\fky. 4. Ensuring that the exterior of the cooking pan is c\fean and dry, p\face it inside the heating vesse\f. 5. P\face the washed rice in the re\bovab\fe pan. Add co\fd water to the \feve\f indicated on the inside of the re\bovab\fe pan. See cooking charts on page 6. 6. C\fose the \fid unti\f the \fatch c\ficks and \fid is fu\f\fy c\fosed. 7. Insert the p\fug into a 230-240 vo\ft power out\fet and turn the power on. (The “COOK” \fight wi\f\f i\f\fu\binate). 8. Depress the auto\batic contro\f \fever to “COOK” to begin the cooking cyc\fe. The “COOK” \fight wi\f\f stay i\f\fu\binated. NOTE: DO NOT put your face or hands over the stea\b vent whi\fe cooking. 9. When cooking is co\bp\fete, your Rice Perfect De\fuxe 7 wi\f\f auto\batica\f\fy switch to “KEEP WARM” \bode and the “KEEP WARM” \fight wi\f\f i\f\fu\binate. DO NOT open the \fid unti\f stea\bing has stopped. 10. A\f\fow rice to stand in the “KEEP WARM” \bode for 5-10 \binutes (2-4 cups rice) and 10-15 \binutes (5-7 cups rice), with the \fid c\fosed before serving. DO NOT use \beta\f utensi\fs as these wi\f\f scratch the non-stick coating. A\f\fow cooking pan to coo\f before re\boving. NOTE: If the \fid is opened i\b\bediate\fy the condensation co\f\fector \bay overf\fow. 11. The “KEEP WARM” cyc\fe wi\f\f continue unti\f the power is switched off. If keeping the rice war\b, stir to re\fease stea\b, then c\fose \fid. Rice can be kept war\b in the Rice Perfect De\fuxe 7 for up to 2 hours. After 2 hours rice shou\fd be refrigerated for storage, if required. NOTE: During operating – do not open the \fid as this \bay affect cooking resu\fts. Do not interfere with the auto\batic contro\f \fever. Do not keep \fess than 2 cups of rice in the cooker for extended periods of ti\be on “KEEP WARM” \bode as the rice beco\bes dry and the qua\fity wi\f\f deteriorate. 4 Using your Rice Perfect Delu\fe 7

The removable pan, condensation collector, measuring cup, steaming tray, serving spoon and holder should be \bashed in \barm \bater using a mild detergent. DO NOTuse harsh abrasives to clean the removable cooking pan as these \bill damage the non-stick coating. The interior and exterior of the cooking vessel can be \biped over \bith a damp cloth. CAUTION: Never immerse the heating vessel in \bater. DO NOT place any part of your Rice Perfect Deluxe \f in a dish\basher. The hot \bater temperatures and harsh detergents may \barp or stain the parts. CAUTION: Never use any chemical, steel \bool, harsh abrasive cleaners, thinners or chemical dust cloths to clean any part of your Rice Perfect Deluxe \f. Coconut Rice 4 cups Jas\bine rice 400\bl (can) coconut crea\b or lite coconut \bilk 600\bl water 1 tbsp sugar (optional) 2 li\be leaves (optional) Place all ingredients in the re\bovable pan and \bix well. Cook with lid on. Allow 10 \binutes on war\b \function be\fore serving. Approx. ti\be 20 \binutes. Saffron Rice Add 1 /4teaspoon o\f sa\f\fron \for every 2 cups o\f water used to cook white rice. Add a little pepper and salt to taste. Mix well. Sa\foury Rice Use chicken or bee\f stock in place o\f water to cook rice. Spicy Rice Cook sa\f\fron rice as directed above. When cooked, add 1 /2teaspoon curry powder,1 /2teaspoon chinese 5 spice powder and 1 /2 cup sultanas, \for every 2 cups o\f rice. Tasty Rice Risso\bes (Makes approx 10) 2 tablespoons (40g) butter or \bargarine 1 onion, \finely chopped 1/2teaspoon curry powder 2 cups brown rice, cooked in Rice Per\fect Deluxe 7 1 zucchini, grated 1 carrot, grated 1/4cup \finely chopped parsley 200g pu\bpkin, cooked and \bashed 1/2cup unprocessed bran1/4teaspoon ground sage1/4teaspoon ground cu\bin seeds 2 eggs, lightly beaten 2 tablespoons \bayonnaise 1/4cup peanut butter breadcru\bbs \for coating oil \for shallow \frying 1. Melt butter or \bargarine in a pan. Lightly sauté onion and curry powder. Trans\fer to a large bowl. Add rice, zucchini, carrot, parsley, pu\bpkin, sage and cu\bin. Mix well. 2. Co\bbine eggs, \bayonnaise and peanut butter and \bix well. Add rice and vegetable \bixture, co\bbine all ingredients. 3. Shape \bixture into approxi\bately 10 rissoles. Coat in breadcru\bbs. 4. Heat oil in \frypan on high heat. Fry rissoles until golden brown. Serve with salad. Recipes
Fruit and Nut Rice (Serves 6-\f) 4 cups saffron rice, cooked in Rice Perfect \feluxe 7 \b green onions, chopped 1 cup chopped dried apricots 1 cup chopped prunes 1/\bcup sultanas 1 cup cashews 1. Toss green onions, fruit and nuts through rice when Rice Cooker switches to “KEEP WARM”. Allow to stand 10 minutes. \b. Serve as an accompaniment to curry or spicy dishes. Fried Rice (Serves 6-\f) 1 tablespoon (\b0g) butter or oil 3 eggs, lightly beaten 1 clove garlic, peeled and finely chopped 1/\btablespoon grated fresh ginger 1 red capsicum, chopped into 1.5cm pieces 4 rashers bacon, roughly chopped 4 green onions, sliced 1 x \b\b5g canned pineapple pieces, drained 1/\bcup frozen peas 4 cups white rice, cooked in Rice Perfect \feluxe 7 1 tablespoon soy sauce 1. Melt butter or margarine in a frypan on high heat. Add eggs to pan fry as for an omelette. Remove from pan and roughly chop. \b. Lightly sauté garlic, ginger, capsicum and bacon. Add green onions, pineapple and peas and cook for approximately \b minutes. 3. Add rice and chopped egg to frypan. Gently toss to combine. Add soy sauce and mix thoroughly. Heat through before serving. Cream\b Mushroom Risotto (Serves 4) \b tablespoons olive oil 80g butter 1 onion, chopped finely 1 clove garlic, crushed \b cups (metric) uncooked Arborio rice 1 cup dry white wine 1 litre chicken stock, hot \b00g Swiss brown mushrooms, sliced 150g button mushrooms, sliced 1/\bcup grated parmesan1/4cup chopped fresh parsley Freshly ground black pepper 1. In a large frying pan heat half the oil and butter; add onions and garlic and cook until the onions are tender. Add the rice and stir through to coat the rice with the onion mixture. \b. Add the wine and cook, stirring, until most of the liquid has absorbed. Transfer mixture to the Rice Cooker cooking pan. Add the hot chicken stock and stir through. Making sure that the exterior of the pan is dry; place into heating vessel. 3. Replace the lid. 4. \fepress the automatic control lever to “COOK”. 5.
