INTRODUCING THE VPL-TX7 and VPL-TX70 NETWORKED
    EDUCATION PROJECTORS
Go to the head of the class with Sony’s affordable new Teacher’s Pet™ education projectors, destined
to be a teacher’s favorite. The VPL-TX7 and VPL-TX70 were designed and developed specifically with
students and teachers in mind, ready to handle any lesson plan. Both projectors offer native XGA
resolution, delivering astonishing color light output ranging from 2000 (VPL-TX7) to 2600 lumens
    (VPL-TX70). The VPL-TX70 utilizes Sony’s 3LCD BrightEra™ imaging technology - the latest generation of
LCD panels that reproduce high quality images with bright and natural colors.
These new projectors redefine “smart” – from their stylish looks to classroom-friendly features like
closed captioning; a 5-Watt built-in speaker, so students can hear the audio loud and clear; a variety
of inputs, including composite video, s-video, 2 Analog RGB/Component inputs, plus 1 monitor out
with variable audio out; and RJ-45 connection for remote monitoring and maintenance. They also
offer synchronized lamp and filter replacements at 3000/4000 hours. And thanks to 3LCD and
BrightEra imaging technology, these projectors use smaller lamps - smaller lamps are less expensive
and use less power than single chip DLP projectors – for a lower total cost of ownership.
To top that, Sony’s Eye on Education™ program offers educational institutions competitive pricing, an
Extra Credit Frequent Purchase Program, trade-in opportunities, extended lamp warranties, and
exceptional service. Visit www.sony.com/EyeOnEducation and www.sony.com/extracredit for details.
    FEATURES & BENEFITS
    Affordable
Priced to bring excellent brightness and advanced features
within reach. It’s simple mathematics with 3LCD and BrightEra
technology: less general maintenance costs and longer
lasting projectors = a lower total cost of ownership.
    Sleek Design
    The design features a unique
    body shape that broadens
    towards the front allowing
    images to project upwards on
the screen and therefore minimal tilt adjustment is required.
Accepts a wide variety of Interfaces
The new TX series of projectors accept a wide variety of input
signals from standard definition (SD) to high definition (HD)
including composite video, S-Video, and 2 analog RGB/
component inputs via an HD D-sub 15-pin. Both models are
equipped with a 5W speaker, RJ45 and a monitor out with
    variable audio out.
    High Brightness & Picture Quality
No need to turn out the lights! The VPL-TX70
delivers 2600 lumens and the VPL-TX7 delivers
2000 lumens, bright enough to be clearly
seen in normal room lighting, so students
can take notes and follow along with
    handouts. High picture quality, long-life
    imagers and optical efficiencies are
    achieved with the VPL-TX70’s
    BrightEra 3LCD panel system.
    Network Functions
The network allows users to monitor the projector’s status and
    will even e-mail updates.
    Closed Captioning
Allows presenters to display a transcription of the audio
portion from video sources to provide interpretive information
to viewers who wish or require to access it.

    							Anti-Theft Features
Password protection helps prevent unauthorized usage. The
control panels can be locked to help prevent inadvertent or
unauthorized adjustments. And there’s even a security bar to
allow connection to an optional security cable such as
    antitheft chain or wire.
    Direct Power On/Off
With this function, standby mode can be skipped over to
activate the projector immediately. The projector can be
turned on or off using a circuit-breaker switch on the wall.
