Check whether the 1 (standby) indicator is flashing in red.
When the 1 (standby) indicator is flashing
The self-diagnosis function is activated. 
1Count how many times the 1 (standby) indicator flashes between each three second break.

the TV screen. Check the screen format settings on the TV.
 Adjust the image size of the DVD to match the TV screen. Start a DVD,
