Point the camera at the subject, and press on the control button. The target frame appears. 2 . Place the target frame over the subject you want to focus on, and press . Tracking begins. 3 . Shoot with the shutter button. Tracking a face If you use the tracking focus function while the Face Detection function is activated, you can select a face to be given priority and register that face with the camera. Notes [Tracking focus] is not available in the following situations:When shooting using any zoom other than the optical zoom. When shooting in [Manual Exposure Shooting] mode. Tracking focus will automatically be canceled when the subject disappears from the screen or has failed to be tracked. Press (Display Setting) on the control button. 2 . Select the desired mode with the control button. This setting is also applied when an image is displayed immediately after shooting it. (OFF) Displays only images. (Detailed Info) Displays the information. Exif data for the recorded image and the histogram are also displayed. (ON) Displays the information. Histogram A histogram is a graph showing the brightness of an image. The graph display indicates a bright image when skewed to the right side (A) , and a dark image when skewed to the left side (B) . 64
1 . Press (Display Setting) on the control button, then select [Detailed Info]. Notes The histogram also appears when playing back a single image, but you cannot adjust the exposure. The histogram does not appear in the following situations:When recording/playing back movies When viewing vertical orientation images When rotating still images When shooting/viewing panoramic images The histogram may not appear for images recorded using other cameras.
