18 Charging the battery pack When using the camera for the first time, be sure to charge the NP- FM500H “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack (supplied). The “InfoLITHIUM” battery pack can be charged even when it has not been fully depleted. It can also be used when it has not been fully charged. The battery pack is discharged little by little, even when you do not use it. To avoid missing an opportunity to shoot, check the remaining battery level before you shoot. If the battery level is low, charge it again....

19 Charging the battery pack Preparing the camera Notes The charging time differs depending on the remaining capacity of the battery pack or charging conditions. We recommend charging the battery pack in an ambient temperature of between 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F). You may not be able to efficiently charge the battery pack outside of this temperature range.
