FIELD STRIPPING REASSEMBLY •With the rear of the slide pointed in a safe direction and the bottom of the slide turned up, replace the barrel in the slide (Figure 21) while fitting it into the spherical barrel bushing. This can be difficult as the fitting tolerances are particularly tight between the barrel and the bushing (Figure 22 & 23). A small amount of oil on the barrel can assist in this operation.
