    Setting Up the Projector (Continued)

    The pro\bector can use any of the 4 pro\bection modes shown in the diagram below. Select the 
    mode most appropriate for the pro\bection setting in use.  (You can set the PRJ mode in “SCR-
    ADJ” menu. See page 49 .)

    It is recommended that you use the optional Sharp ceiling-mount adaptor and unit for this 
    installation. Before mounting the pro\bector, contact your nearest Sharp Authorized Pro\bector 
    Dealer or Service Center to obtain the recommended ceiling-mount adaptor and unit (sold

    Connecting the Projector to Other Equipment
    Before connecting, ensure that the power cord of the pro\bector is unplugged from the AC outlet 
    and turn off the equipment to be connected. After making all connections, turn on the pro\bector 
    and then the other pieces of equipment. When connecting a computer, ensure that it is the last 
    equipment to be turned on after all the connections are made.
    IMPORTANT:
    Ensure that the appropriate input mode has been selected on the pro\bector before 
    you turn on the connected equipment.

    Controlling the Projector by \f Computer
    When the RS-232C terminal on the pro\bector is connected to a computer with an RS-232C serial control cable (cross type, commercially available), the computer can be used to control the pro\bector and check the status of the pro\bector. Refer to the “SETUP MANUAL” contained on the supplied CD-ROM for “RS-232C Specifications and Commands”.

    2 A\bjusting the Height
    The height of the pro\bector can be 
    ad\busted using the ad\bustment feet at the 
    front and rear of the pro\bector.
    When the screen is above the pro\bector, 
    the pro\bection image can be made higher 
    by ad\busting the pro\bector.
    1  Lift the projector to \fdjust its 
    height while lifting the HEIGHT 
    ADJUST lever.
    2 Remove your h\fnds from the 
    HEIGHT ADJUST lever of the 
    projector \ffter its height h\fs

    Dist\frti\fn
    When the image is pro\bected either from 
    the top or from the bottom towards the 
    screen at an angle, the image becomes 
    distorted trapezoidally. The function for 
    correcting trapezoidal distortion is called
