10 BEFORE USING THE MACHINE LOADING PAPER Make sure that the machine is not copying or printing, and then follow these steps to load paper. Loading the paper tray 1Gently lift and pull out the paper tray until it stops. 2Push the pressure plate down until it locks in place. When feeding large paper such as B4 and A3, pull out the bypass tray extension. 2Set the paper guides to the copy paper width. 3Insert the paper (print face down) all the way into the bypass tray. To prevent a misfeed, verify once more that the paper guides are adjusted to the width of the paper. 17 COPY FUNCTIONS 2 Auto paper select mode (when there are two or more paper trays) When the AUTO PAPER SELECT indicator ( ) lights up, Auto paper select mode is enabled.
