    You can set up your \yTV so that it can \yaccess the Internet through your local area network (LAN) u\ysing a wired or wireless 
    connection\b
    	¦Connecting 	 to 	 a 	 Wired 	 Network
    You can attach your \yTV to your LAN usin\yg cable in three ways:

    ou can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to an ext\yernal modem using a C\yat 
    5 cable\b See the dia\ygram below\b
     y You can attach your \yTV to your LAN by c\yonnecting the LAN \yport on the back o\y\f your TV to a IP Sh\yarer which is connec\yted 
    to an external modem\b Use Cat \y5 cable \for the con\ynection\b See the dia\ygram below\b
     y Depending on how yo\yur network is confi\ygur ed, you may be able \yto attach your TV t\yo your LAN by conne\ycting the LAN 
    port on the back o\y\f your TV directly to a network \ywall outlet using \ya Cat 5 cable\b See \ythe diagram below\b Note that the wal\yl

    I\f you have a Dynami\yc Network, you shou\yld use an ADSL modem\y or router that support\ys Dynamic Host Confi\yguration 
    Protocol (DHCP)\b Mode\yms and routers that suppor\yt DHCP automatical\yly provide the IP address, subnet mask, \ygateway, 
    and DNS values your \yTV needs to access \ythe Internet so you don’t have to enter th\yem manually\b Most h\yome networks are

    Some networks require a Static IP address\b I\f your network\y requires a Static IP address, you must enter\y the IP address, 
    subnet mask, gatew\yay, and DNS values m\yanually on your TV’\ys Cable Setup Screen when you set up\y the network 
    connection\b To get the IP address, subnet mask, \ygateway, and DNS val\yues, contact your I\ynternet Service Provider (ISP)\b I\f 
    you have a Windows computer, you can also get \ythese values through your computer\b

    Use the Automatic \yNetwork	Setup when connecting yo\yur 
    TV to a network th\yat supports DHCP \b To set up your TV’s 
    cable network conn\yection automatical\yly, \follow these st\yeps:
    How

    1.	 Connect your TV to \yyour LAN as describ\yed in the 
    previous section\b
    2.	 Turn on your TV, press the MENU button on your 
    remote, use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \ySetup, and 
    then press the ENTER

    3.	 Use the ▲ or ▼ button to select \yNetwork in the Setup 
    menu, and then press the ENTER

    To get the Network \yconnection values \yon most Windows 
    computers, \follow t\yhese steps:
    1.	 Right click the Ne\ytwork icon on the \ybottom right o\f the\y 
    screen\b
    2.	 In the pop-up menu\y that appears, cli\yck Status\b
    3.	 On the dialog that \yappears, click the\y Support tab\b
    4.	 On the Support Tab, click the Deta\yils button\b The 
    Network connection\y values are displayed\b

    To set up your TV’s cable network co\ynnection manually, \y
    \follow these steps:\y

    To connect your TV t\yo your network wirelessly, you need a \ywireless router or modem and \ya Samsung Wireless LAN Adapter 
    (WIS09ABGN), which \yyou connect to your\y TV’s back or side pane\yl USB jack\b See the \yillustration below\y\b
