    MAGIC• < Bright>
    Provides preset picture settings optimized for  various user environments such as editing a 
    document, surfing the Internet, playing games,or movies and so on.
    • 
    If the preset picture modes ar e not sufficient, users can configure the  and 
     directly using this mode.
    •   This mode provides the picture setting appr opriate for editing a document and surfing the 
    Internet (text + picture).
    • This mode provides the picture setting appropri ate for playing games that include lots of 
    graphics and that require a fast screen refresh rate.
    •  This mode provides brightness and sharpness sett ings similar to those of a TV for the best 
    entertainment environment (movie, DVD, etc.).
    •  Controls the picture contrast automatically so  that bright and dark pictures are balanced 
    overall.
    When the external input is connected thr ough HDMI and  is set to , 
    < Bright> has four automatic  picture settings (, ,  and 
    ) that are preset at the factory. You  can activate either Dynamic, Standard, Movie or 
    Custom. You can select Custom  which automatically recalls your personalized picture settings.
    •  Select this mode to view a sharper image than in Standard mode. 
    •  Select this mode when the surroundings are  bright. This also provides a sharp image.
    • Select this mode when the surroundings are dark. This will save power and reduce eye fatigue.

    Expresses natural colors more clearly without changing the picture quality using proprietary digital 
    picture quality improvement technology  developed by Samsung Electronics.

    •  - You can compare the pictures pr ocessed by < Color> with the original 
    pictures.
    •  - Provides a clearer picture including areas corresponding to skin color.
    •  - Improves the chroma of pict ures except for areas corresponding to skin color.

     Supplied for the wide models only such as 16:9 or 16:10. 
    PC signals 
    •  - The picture is displayed at the aspect ratio of the input signal.
    •  - The picture is displayed in full screen regardless of the aspect ratio of the input signal.
     • A signal not in the standard mode table is not supported.
    • If the resolution is set to the optimal resolution, the aspect ratio does  not change whether the

    AV signals 
    •  - Displays pictures  at the 4:3 aspect ratio. 
    •  - Displays pictures at the 16:9 aspect ratio. 
    •  - If a 720P, 1080i or 1080P signal  is input in HDMI/DVI input mode, the picture is 
    displayed as is without truncation.
     This can only be set when the external in put is connected through HDMI/DVI and  is set to .

    H-Position Moves the position of the display 
    area on the screen horizontally.

    same menu page so that you can conveniently  configure the power saving settings. 
    There are two ways to access the ECO menu page.
    •  Click ECO/ ▼ (hot key), which is the second function ke y, to go directly to the ECO menu page. 
    (Note that the key will function as  a hot key only when  is set to ECO. ECO is 
    selected by default.) 
    • Alternatively, go to  the  menu.
    
    The  activates to save power when it does not detect any movement within a 
    specified area for a specified period of time.
    Configuring settings

    active, a pop-up guide will appear showi ng the operation status of the sensors.
    • The  will activate power-sav ing mode if it is set to on and does not detect 
    any movement for a specified time.
    • A 10-second countdown timer will start along  with the above picture before the power-saving 
    mode activates showing the operation  status of the .
    • If the screen brightness is adjusted according to t he ambient light intensity when the  is on, a pop-up as shown above w ill appear showing the adjusting screen brightness.
    • When the screen becomes brighter as the ambien t light becomes brighter and the  activates, the brightness slide bar leve l will increase with a sun image displayed above 
    the bar. When the screen becomes darker, the brightness slide bar level will decrease with a 
    moon image displayed above the bar. The brightne ss slide bar will be displayed for three seconds 
    after the sensor activates.

    • The amount of energy saved by the , , and  functions will accumulate and the progr ess can be viewed as a growing energy tree.
     The energy tree grows as the energy savings of the monitor accumulate. Accordingly, the 
    trees growth will also be affected by other functions that involve power consumption such 
    as the brightness control function.
     
    • The amount of energy savings accumulated by t he , , 
    and  functions will be repr esented as an amount of carbon dioxide.
    • A complete energy tree will be displayed when the amount of energy savings accumulates to  as much as the amount of carbon dioxide a tree absorbs in a year.
    • This shows that your energy saving is as effe ctive as planting a tree so that you can easily 
    understand the accumulation of energy savings over time and its effect by viewing the progress 
    of a tree growing.
    • The progress of a tree growing will be represent ed as 10 different images (stages). After one 
    full-grown tree is complete, the initial image will be restored and the number of trees will 
    continue to accumulate. The number for energy  trees will be rounded to one decimal place.

    What is Natural Color ?
     
    This software works only for Samsung products and enables adjusting the displayed colors on the product and matches the
