8.4 Replacing the toner cartridge When the toner is completely empty or the toner cartridge reachde the end of its life span: • The Smart Panel program window appears on the computer. •The Error LED blinks red. At this stage, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. Do not open packages of paper until necessary so that the paper does not absorb too much moisture. • If background scatter occurs on an envelope, change the printing layout to avoid printing over areas that have overlapping seams on the reverse side.
