LOADING PAPER
Loading paper in the tray
Load the print media you use for the majori ty of your print jobs in the tray. 
The tray can hold a maximum of 150 sheets of 75 g/m2 (20 lb bond) plain 
paper. 
1. Grasp the paper input tray and pull it  toward you to open. Pinch the rear 
guide and pull it out to extend the tray

2. Prepare a stack of paper for loading by flexing or fanning them back and 
forth. Straighten the edges  on a level surface.

4.Pinch the rear guide to adjust for  the paper length and pinch the side 
guide and slide it to the left flush against the paper. 
5. If necessary, close the paper cover to  keep the paper loaded in the tray 
from dust. PRINTING ON SPECIAL PRINT MEDIAS
The machine can hold special sizes and types of print material, such as 
postcards, note cards, and envelopes. Especially, it is useful for single page 
printing on letterhead or colored paper.

3.Load the paper in the manual tray.
 
4.When you print in applicatio n, start the print menu.
5. Open printer properties.
6. Press the  Paper tab in printer properties, and select an appropriate 
paper type. 
7. Select  Manual Feeder  in paper source then, press  OK. 
8. Start printing in application.
9. Press and hold the  Cancel button until machine starts operating.

4.With a dry, lint-free cloth, wipe away  any dust and spilled toner from the 
toner cartridge area and the toner cartridge cavity. 
 
5. Locate the long strip of glass (LSU) inside the top of the cartridge 
compartment, and gently swab the glass  to see if dirt turns the white 
cotton black.
   
6. Reinsert the toner cartridge and clos e the cover. Make sure that the 
cover is securely closed. If  it is not firmly closed, printing errors may 
occur when you print.

MAINTAINING THE PRINTING CARTRIDGE
Toner cartridge storage
Toner cartridges contain componen ts that are sensitive to light, 
temperature, and humidity. Sams ung suggests users follow the 
recommendations to ensure the optimum performance, highest quality, and 
longest life from your new Samsung toner cartridge.
Store this cartridge in the same environ ment as the printer it will be used in; 
this should be in controlled office  temperature and humidity conditions. The

3.Fold the printing cartridge handle and g ently shake the printing cartridge 
from side to side five or six times to redistribute the toner. 
4. Reinsert the printing cartridge into the machine. Ensure that the printing 
cartridge snaps into place.
5. Close the front cover. Make  sure that the cover is securely closed. If it is 
not firmly closed, printing errors may occur when you print.REPLACING THE TONER CARTRIDGE

4.Remove the dummy cartridge or used toner cartridge by releasing the 
locking lever and pull the toner cartridge out.  
5. Remove the dummy cartridge or used toner cartridge away. 
6. Take a new toner cartridge out from its bag.  
7. Pull the plastic sheet out from the toner cartridge. 
8. Hold the imaging unit and slowly insert the toner cartridge into the 
imaging unit until you hear a ‘click’.  9.
