131 Using the CableCARD This menu works with a CableCARD provided by a local cable service provider. Prior to accessing this menu, a CableCARD should be connected to the rear panel of the TV. For detailed connection instructions refer to the “Connecting CableCARD” section of this manual. Displaying CableCARD related information Accessing information on Status, Pairing, Network Setup of the CableCARD provided by the service provider in CableCARD menu. 1 Make sure the Cablecard is inserted. Press the MENU button. Troubleshooting 136 Problem Poor picture. No picture or sound. Poor sound quality. Your remote control does not operate the TV. The TV won’t turn on. There is no screen image. The image is too light or too dark. The image is too large or too small. Digital broadcasting screen problem. Screen is black and power indicator light blinks steadily. If the TV seems to have a problem, first try this list of possible problems and solutions. If none of these troubleshooting tips apply, then call your nearest service center. Possible Solution Check all wire connections. Try another channel. Press the SOURCE button. Make sure the TV is plugged in. Check the antenna connections. Check that the Mute feature is Off. Try another channel. Adjust the volume. Press the “MODE” button to put your remote control in the “TV” mode. Check the battery charge of the remote control. Check if the power plug is connected. Check to see that both the TV and the source are plugged in and turned on. Adjust the Brightness or Contrast settings. Adjust the Size settings. Please check the digital signal strength and input antenna. On your computer check; Power, Signal Cable. The TV is using its power management system. Move the computer’s mouse or press any key on the keyboard. On your equipment check (STB, DVD, etc) ; Power, Signal Cable. The TV is using its power management system. Identifying Problems •Do not put the TV near extremely hot, cold, humid or dusty places. •Do not put the TV near appliances that create magnetic fields. •Keep the ventilation openings clear. •Do not place the TV on a rough and slanted surface, such as cloth or paper. Liquids •Do not place liquids near or on the TV. Cabinet •Never open the cabinet or touch the parts inside. •Wipe your TV with a clean, dry cloth. Never use water, cleaning fluids, wax, or chemicals. •Do not put heavy objects on top of the cabinet. Temperature •If your TV is suddenly moved from a cold to a warm place, unplug the power cord for at least two hours so that moisture that may have formed inside the unit can dry completely.
