    Customizing the Picture Settings
    You can use the on-screen menus to change the “Contrast”, “Brightness”, “Sharpness”, “Color”,
    “Tint”, and “Color Tone” according to personal preference. 
    •While adjusting a picture

    Changing the Picture Size
    You can select the picture size which best corresponds to your viewing requirements.

    Press the MENU button.

    “Picture”, then press the ENTER

    Alternate method
    Press the P.SIZE button on the
    remote control repeatedly to select
    one of the picture size settings.
    •“16:9”: Sets the picture to 
    16:9 wide mode.
    •“Zoom1”:  Magnifies the size 
    of the picture on 
    screen. 
    •“Zoom2”: Magnifies the size of the picture more than “Zoom1”. 
    •“Wide Fit”: Enlarges the aspect ratio of the picture to fit the 
    entire screen.
    •“4:3”: Sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode. 
    NOTES
    •You can select the 16:9, 4:3 and Wide Fit screen sizes in the DTV, Component (720p, 1080i) mode
    or HDMI (720p, 1080i) mode.
    •When Double (     ,     ) mode has been set in PIP, the Picture Size cannot be set.
    •For Zoom1, Zoom2, and Wide Fit (DTV’s HD signal only), you can adjust the vertical position using
    the 
    …or†button after pressing the P.SIZE button on the remote control.
    •When watching a DTV’s HD signal, you can
    use Wide Fit. 
    Horizontal zoom(Wide Fit) sets the optical 
    picture format by expanding it both 
    horizontally and vertically. 
    For example, you can reset the picture in 
    4:3 format to 16:9.
    Wide Fit does not support all external devices.

    If the broadcast signal received by your TV is weak, you can activate the Digital Noise Reduction 
    feature to help reduce any static and ghosting that may appear on the screen.

    DNIe (Digital Natural Image engine)
    This TV includes the DNIe function so as to provide a high visual quality.
    If you set DNIe to on, you can view the screen with the DNIe feature activated. If you set the DNIe to
    Demo, you can view the applied DNIe and normal pictures on the screen, for demonstration
    purposes. Using this function, you can view the difference in the visual quality.

    Setting the My Color Control Mode
    My Color Control allows you to adjust colors according to your preference, by adjusting skin, sky,
    and grass tones using the predefined settings (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Standard, and Custom)
    without affecting other colors on the screen. 
    Using the My Color Control Function in the Easy Control Menu
    Skin, sky and grass tones are easily adjustable to suit your preferences.

    Viewing Picture-In-Picture
    One of the best features of your TV is the Picture-In-Picture (PIP) feature. The advanced PIP system
    allows you to watch two different pictures at once, even if you don’t have a VCR or DVD connected
    to your TV.
    Activating the PIP

    Press the MENU button.

    “PIP”, then press the ENTER button.

    The sub (PIP) picture appears in the
    corner of the screen.

    Alternate method
    Press the PIP button on the remote control repeatedly to activate or
    deactivate the PIP.
    NOTES
    •This feature doesn’t function when the “V-Chip” is active.
    •If you turn the TV off while watching and turn it on again, then the mode will return to normal
    video.
    •Digital channels can be viewed in PIP when the main picture is from an external input such as a
    DVD, VCR or STB.
    •PIP is supported even when both the main and the sub pictures are analog.
    For more information, refer to the PIP Settings table on page 71.
    •When in the TV Guide On Screen
    TMmode, toggles the state between locked and unlocked in the
    Video Window. (For further explanation, see the TV Guide user’s manual.)
