Settings 47 : adjusts the volume levels for the device’s ringtone functions. –Tap or to adjust the level and tap OK. Notifications: adjusts the volume levels for the device’s notification functions. –Tap or to adjust the level and tap OK. System: adjusts the volume levels for the device’s overall system volume level. –Tap or to adjust the level and tap OK. Display From this menu you can control and configure the display settings. 1.From the Home (Clock) screen, scroll to and then tap ( Apps) ➔ Settings ➔ Display. 2.Configure the following screen display settings: : allows you to configure the LCD Brightness levels. –Tap or to adjust the level and tap OK. Screen timeout: allows you to adjust the delay time before the screen automatically turns off. Make an available selection. Choices include: 10 seconds, 15seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes. : allows you to assign the Home screen background color. : allows you to assign the size of the on-screen font. Choose from: Small, Normal, or Large. Battery percentage: allows you to activate a feature where the numeric battery charge level is displayed along with the graphic representation on-screen. Batter y From this menu you can quickly view the current battery charge level. From the Home (Clock) screen, scroll to and then tap ( Apps) ➔ Settings ➔ Battery.
48 Bluetooth About Bluetooth Bluetooth is a short-range communications technology that allows you to connect wirelessly to a number of Bluetooth devices, such as headsets and hands-free car kits, and Bluetooth-enabled handhelds, computers, printers, and wireless devices. The Bluetooth communication range is usually up to approximately 30 feet. Turning Bluetooth On and Off Note: Be default, the Bluetooth functionality is enabled. To turn Bluetooth off: 1.From the Home (Clock) screen, scroll to and then tap ( Apps) ➔ Settings ➔ Bluetooth. 2.Ta p t h e Bluetooth field to turn it off. The checkmark no longer appears in the adjacent field. To turn Bluetooth on: 1.From the Home (Clock) screen, scroll to and then tap ( Apps) ➔ Settings ➔ Bluetooth. 2.Ta p t h e Bluetooth field to turn it on. The checkmark appears in the adjacent field. Bluetooth Status Indicators The following icons show your Bluetooth connection status at a glance: Displays when Bluetooth is active. Displays when Bluetooth is connected (paired) and communicating. Changing the Device Name 1.From within your smartphone’s Applications page, tap ( Gear Manager) ➔ Paired Gear field. 2.Ta p t h e Rename field and use the on-screen keyboard to edit the current device name. : allows you to change the reference name used by the Gear Manager application for the selected Galaxy Gear.

Activating this feature makes your device visible and allows other devices to pair and communicate. Privacy Lock Note: Although Galaxy Gear can be paired and synchronized with your smartphone, it is not secured. Do not disassemble, crush, puncture, shred, or otherwise attempt to change the form of your battery . Do not put a high degree of pressure on the battery. This can cause leakage or an internal shortcircuit, resulting in overheating.

Even when the GALAXY appears to be dry and appears to operate normally, the circuitry could slowly corrode and pose a safety hazard. If the GALAXY and/or battery get wet, have them checked by your service provider or contact Samsung, even if they appear to be working properly. Do not place your battery in or near a heat source. Excessive heating can damage the GALAXY or the battery and could cause the GALAXY or the battery to explode. Do not dry a wet or damp battery with an appliance or heat source such as a microwave oven, hair dryer, iron, or radiator. Avoid leaving your GALAXY in your car in high temperatures. Do not dispose of the GALAXY or the battery in a fire. The GALAXY or the battery may explode when overheated. Do not handle a damaged or leaking battery. Do not let leaking battery fluid come in contact with your eyes, skin or clothing. For safe disposal options, contact your nearest Samsung authorized service center. Avoid dropping the GALAXY. Care and Maintenance Your mobile device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. The suggestions below will help you fulfill any warranty obligations and allow you to enjoy this product for many years: Keep your Samsung Mobile Device away from: Liquids of any kind Keep the mobile device dry.
