Using photographic paper or coated paper may cause 
problems, requiring repairs. Su ch repairs are not covered by 
Samsung’s warranty or service agreements.

Changing the size of the paper in the paper tray
To load longer sizes of paper, such as Legal-sized paper, you need to 
adjust the paper guides to extend the paper tray.

In the multi-purpose tray
The multi-purpose tray can hold specia l sizes and types of print material, 
such as postcards, note ca rds, and envelopes. It is useful for single page 
printing on letterhead or colored paper.
Tips on using the multi-purpose tray
• Load only one size of print media at a time in the multi-purpose tray.
• To prevent paper jams, do not add paper when there is still paper in  the multi-purpose tray. This also applies to other types of print media.

2 Using the handle, completely open the front cover.
Caution
• Do not touch the green surface,  the OPC drum or the front of 
the toner cartridge, with your hands or any other material. 
Use the handle on each cartridge in order to avoid touching 
this area.
• Be careful not to scratch the surface of the paper transfer  belt.
• If you leave the front cover open for more than a few minutes,  the OPC drum can be exposed to light. This will cause 
damage to the OPC drum. Cove r the toner cartridge’s...

6 With a dry lint-free cloth, wipe away any dust and spilled toner from 
the toner cartridges area and their cavities. 
Note
If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry
cloth and wash it in cold water. Hot water sets toner into
fabric.
7 Reinstall all the compartments into  the machine, and close the front 
door.
