63 TROUBLESHOOTING If you have problems, here are some suggestions that might help. If they do not, take your scanner to your loca l RadioShack store for assistance. PROBLEMPOSSIBLE CAUSEREMEDY Scanner is on but will not scan. SQUELCH is not adjusted cor- rectly.Turn SQUELCHclockwise. 66 RESETTING THE SCANNER If the scanner’s display locks up or does not work prop- erly, you might need to reset the scanner. Caution: This procedure clears all the information you have stored into the scanner. Before you reset the scanner, try turning it off and on to see if it begins work- ing properly.
