Cleaning the air filter You should change or clean the air-intake filter after every 250 operating hours to maintain proper cooling. This filter is located on the bottom of the projector, under the grill. 1Disconnect all cables and cords from the projector. 2Set the projector on its side, connector panel down. 3Loosen and remove both screws on the filter cover. 4Press up on the air-filter cover tab to release the cover latch, and then pull the cover down and out. Removing the air-filter cover 5Remove the air filter and clean it with a vacuum cleaner. If dirt is hard to remove, wipe the air filter with a cloth moist- ened with water, then wipe it with a dry cloth. Changing the remote-control batteries If you are not planning to use the remote control for awhile, remove the batteries from the unit. To install or change the two AAA alkaline batteries in the remote control: 1Locate the battery compartment at the lower rear of the case. Slide the cover back to open the compartment. 2Insert new batteries, orienting them as illustrated inside the c o m p a r t m e n t . 3Close the compartment by sliding the cover back into place. Caution: • Do not use batteries not specified for this unit. • Do not use old and new batteries together. • Do not insert batteries incorrectly. 50Maintenance
