    The Base
    Install base stand
    Place the monitor base stand on a stable surface.
    Firmly grasp the monitor with both hands.

    Attach the monitor stand to the monitor column until the tabs click in\
    to place before 
    releasing the height adjustable column. 
    Remove base stand
    Before you start disassembling the monitor base, please follow the instr\
    uctions below to 
    avoid damage or injury.
    (a) Extend the monitor stand to its maximum height.

    (b) Place the monitor face down on a smooth surface,  taking care to a\
    void scratching or 
    damaging the screen. Then lift the monitor stand.
    
    (c) Press the release button on the rear of the stand to remove the ba\
    se from the stand.

    Remove the Base
    Condition:
    µfor VESA standard mounting applications
    Remove the 4 screw covers.

    Remove the 4 screws and then remove the base from the LCD monitor.

    Use the information file ( .inf) for Windows® 2000/XP/Vista or late\
    r
     
    The built-in VESA DDC2B feature in Philips Monitors supports Plug & Play\
     requirements for 
    Windows® 2000/XP/Vista. This information file ( .inf) should be ins\
    talled in order that your 
    Philips monitor can be enabled from the Monitor dialog box in Windows®\
     2000/XP/Vista and 
    the Plug & Play application can be activated. The installation procedure\
     based on Windows® 
    2000 , XP and Vista is specified as follows.
    For Windows® 2000 
    Start Windows® 2000 
    Click on the Start button, point to Settings, and then click on Con\
    trol Panel. 
    Double click on the Display Icon. 
    Select the Settings tab then click on Advanced.... 
    Select Monitor  
    - If the Properties button is inactive, it means your monitor is prope\
    rly configured. Please 
    stop installation.  
    - If the Properties button is active. Click on Properties button. Pl\
    ease follow the steps 
    given below. 
    Click on Driver and then click on Update Driver... then click on the\
     Next button. 
    Select Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I ca\
    n choose a specific 
    driver, then click on Next and then click on Have disk.... 
    Click on the Browse... button then select the appropriate drive F: ( \
    CD-ROM Drive). 
    Click on the Open button, then click on the OK button. 
    Select your monitor model and click on the Next button. 
    Click on the Finish button then the Close button.  
    If you can see the Digital Signature Not Found window, click on the Y\
    es button. 
    For Windows® XP
    Start Windows® XP
    Click on the Start button and then click on Control Panel.
    Select and click on the category Printers and Other Hardware
    Click on the Display Item.
    Select the Settings tab then click on the Advanced button.
    Select Monitor tab 
    - If the Properties button is inactive, it means your monitor is prope\
    rly configured. Please 
    stop installation.

    - If the Properties button is active, click on Properties button. 
    Please follow the steps below.
    Click on the Driver tab and then click on Update Driver... button.
    Select the Install from a list or specific location [advanced] radio b\
    utton and then click on 
    the Next button.
    Select the Dont Search. I will choose the driver to install radio but\
    ton. Then click on the 
    Next button.
    Click on the Have disk... button, then click on the Browse... button\
     and then select the 
    appropriate drive F: (CD-ROM Drive).
    Click on the Open button, then click the OK button.
    Select your monitor model and click on the Next button. 
    - If you can see the has not passed Windows® Logo testing to verify \
    its compatibility with 
    Windows® XP message, please click on the Continue Anyway button. 
    Click on the Finish button then the Close button.
    Click on the OK button and then the OK button again to close the Dis\
    play_Properties 
    dialog box.
    For Windows® Vista
    Start Windows® Vista 
    Click the Start button; select and click on Control Panel. 
    Select and click on Hardware and Sound 
    Choose Device Manager and Click on Update device drivers. 
    Select Monitor and then right click on Generic PnP Monitor. 
    Click on Update Driver Software. 
    Select Browse my computer for driver software. 
    Click the Browsebutton and choose the drive in which youve placed the\
     disk. Example:
    (CD-ROM Drive:\\Lcd\PC\drivers\). 
    Click the Next button. 
    Wait few minutes for installing the driver, and then click Close butto\
    n.
    If your Windows® 2000/XP/Vista version is different or you need more \
    detailed installation 
    information, please refer to your Windows® 2000/XP/Vista users manua\

    Description of the On Screen Display
    What is the On-Screen Display?
    On-Screen Display (OSD) is a feature in all Philips LCD monitors. It a\
    llows an end user to adjust 
    screen performance or select functions of the monitors directly through \
    an on-screen instruction 
    window. A user friendly on screen display interface is shown as below :
    Basic and simple instruction on the control keys.
    In the OSD shown above users can press
     buttons at the front bezel of the monitor to move 
    the cursor,
     to confirm the choice or change.
