Creating Folders for Messages
You can create up to ten folders to store your Messages. If 10 user defined
folders exist, 
Create Foldermenu disappears.
1.From the Standby mode, press  to display the main menu.
2.Highlight Messagingand press  .
3.Highlight Notificationsand press  . Then the folder list appears.
4.From the folder list display, press  (right softkey).
5.Highlight Create Folderand press  .
6.Enter a folder name from 3 to 13 letters and press  or  (left

Editing Folders
To edit a folder:
1.From the folder list display, highlight your desired folder except for
Unfiled.
2.Press (right softkey).
3.Highlight Edit Folderand press  .
4.Select the box under your desired option to edit, and press  .
Folder Nameto edit the folder name.
Auto Filingto set auto filing to on or off.
Keywordto change the folder’s keyword. Incoming messages are
automatically filtered into the folder if they contain the Keyword you

Using PCS Short Mail
With PCS Short Mail, you can use a person’s wireless phone number to
send instant text messages from your Internet-ready PCS Phone to their
messaging-ready phone – and they can send messages to you. When you
receive a new message, you’ll automatically be notified with a one-way
text message.
In addition, PCS Short Mail includes a variety of pre-set messages, such as
“I’m running late, I’m on my way,” that make composing messages fast

Email
Using PCS Email
With PCS Email, you can set up an account at no additional charge and
perform many of the typical email functions from your PCS Phone that
you can from your personal computer.
You can manage your PCS Email Account from your PCS Phone or
personal computer at 
www.sprintpcs.com. You can also access other
select email providers from the Web.
Accessing PCS Email Messages
To access PCS Email Messages:
1.From the Web home page, select the Messagingfolder, and

Pictures
Your PCS Phone gives you the ability to capture, view and share pictures
with your family and friends, instantly. It’s as easy to use as a traditional
point and click camera. Take the picture, view it on the phone’s display,
and message it all from your phone. Pictures will be also uploaded to a
storage site for access at a later time. Picture quality is similar to what you
see on your computer screen (VGA quality).
Taking a Picture
You can take a picture whether the clamshell is open or closed....

Zoom:While in the Camera mode, press  or  of the Navigation key
to change the magnification. (Zoom function is only available in Med
and Low picture sizes.) Med: Zoom to 1x or 4x magnification.
Low: Zoom to 1x, 4x or 16x magnification.

From the Camera mode with the clamshell open (see “Taking a picture”

Eraseto erase the captured picture you are currently viewing in the
Review mode.
Erase Allto erases all the captured pictures in the Review mode.
Note:You are supposed to set a password to use following options for
the first time: Share Ph.Book, Upload, Upload All and Online Pictures.
See page 166 for the Online Pictures.
Note:After uploading, the files in the phone are erased automatically.
You may save a copy of your captured picture(s) in the Review mode to
your Picture Wallet by selecting “Add to...

Accessing the Site From Your Desktop Computer

Log on to your computer and dial-in to the Internet.
2.Go to pictures.sprintpcs.com.
3.Enter your phone number and password to register.
The password is the same as you created to upload or viewing online
pictures first time.
Once at the site, you can do the following:
Share pictures
Navigate forward or backward
Edit album title
Edit picture caption
Rotate picture
