The Panasonic ceilin g moun t ventilating fa ns uses a siro cco fan driven by a capacito r motor. The moto r is design ed to h ave an extend ed service life with reduce d energy con sumption. It a lso incorpora tes a therma l cut-off for safety. The gri lle covering the main body is a spring-loaded, quick-r elease type. A dampe r for preventin g counterflow is prov ided. Th e blower uses a high-capacity sirocco fan develo ped to reduce the no ise level. The he ater for this u nit is a 1400 W sheathed heater. A thermostat and thermal c ut-off sw itch have bee n added for saf ety in c ase of an abn ormal temperature r ise in the hea ter. The lig hting u nit is an energy-sav ing, lighting d evice w hich uses two 18 W fluores cent lamps an d produces almost the sa me illuminatio n as a standa rd 100 W incandesc ent lam p (FV-11VHL2 ). Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person\ (s) in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including fire-rated construction. 6. Refer to wiring diagram (Page.5) Follow all the local electrical safety codes. As well as the National Electrical Code (NEC). Using UL approved wire nuts, connect house power wires to ventilating fan wires (Fig.6): Black to black; white to white; green to green. Make sure all connections are fastened firmly after wiring is finished. Replace the junction box plate, and then replace lighting cord to hook. (Fig.5) Fig.10 Fig.9 Fig.8Fig.5 8. Finish ceiling work. If the grille is mounted in the opposite direction, the grille can not be fitted to the ceiling, so then reverse the grille position and try to mount again.10.
