21 Recording Moving Pictures (MPEG4) You can record MPEG4 moving pictures on the Memory Card. 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [REC] and set the operation mode to [MPEG4]. 2Press the [MENU] Button. 3Set the [MPEG4 mode] to desired picture quality. ≥Select one of [Extra fine], [Super fine], [Fine] or [Economy]. ≥Press the [MENU] Button after completing the setting. 4Press the Recording Start/Stop Button. ≥Recording starts. ≥While recording the moving picture, press the Recording Start/Stop Button to stop recording. ≥If you select [Economy] on [MPEG4 mode], the quality of image will deteriorate. ≥If the moving picture is recorded again after stopping recording, it will be saved as another file. ≥Digital Zoom Function, Night View Function, Backlight Compensation Function and White Balance adjustment cannot be selected during recording of MPEG4 moving pictures. 1REC OFFPLAYMODE MPEG4 2MENU 3 4 s AV25PP.book 21 ページ 2003年11月25日 火曜日 午後12時5分
22 Playing Back Moving Pictures (MPEG4) Plays back MPEG4 moving pictures recorded on the Memory Card. 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [PLAY] and set the operation mode to [MPEG4]. ≥Moving picture files recorded on the Memory Card are displayed in the index picture screen. 2Press the UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT side of the Multi-function Button to select a desired file. 3Press the [1SET] Button. ≥A moving picture file is played back. ≥After playing back continuously from the selected file to the last file, the display reverts to the index picture screen. ªOperation during Playback [∫]: Stop (Reverts to the index picture screen.) [;]: Pause (Press during playback.) [:], [9]: Finding the beginning of a file (Tap this button.) 23 Voice Recording (Voice Recording Function) You can record voice data on the Memory Card. 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [REC] and set the operation mode to [VOICE]. 2Press the Recording Start/Stop Button. ≥Recording starts. 3Speak into the built-in microphone 1 of this SD Video Camera. ≥While recording voice, press the Recording Start/ Stop Button to stop recording. ≥The LCD Monitor will shut off approx. 5 seconds after starting to record. This is not a malfunction but a normal sequence in recording. 24 Listening to Voice Recordings (Voice Playback) Plays back the voice files recorded by the SD Video Camera. 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [PLAY] and set the operation mode to [VOICE]. ≥Voice files recorded on the Memory Card are displayed in the form of a list. 2Press the UP/DOWN side of the Multi-function Button to select a desired file. 3Press the [1SET] Button. ≥A voice file is played back. ≥In approx. 5 seconds after playing back, the LCD Monitor will turn off. ≥When stopping playback, the file list reverts and the LCD Monitor turns on again. ªOperation during Playback [∫]: Stop (Reverts to the form of a list) [;]: Pause (Press during playback) [:],[ 9]: Finding the beginning of a file (Tap this button.) 25 Listening to Music (Audio Playback) This unit is capable of playing MPEG-2 AAC and MP3 data files. The supplied program, SD-Jukebox Ver.4 (supplied accessory), must be used to load these files onto the SD Memory Card. Files that are simply copied to the SD Memory Card may not play back properly or at all. 27 Advanced Functions Digital Zoom Function 1 Set the Power/Mode Switch to [REC] and set the operation mode to [PICTURE] or [MPEG4]. 2Press [T] or [W] Button. ≥Picture is enlarged by 1 step by pressing [T] of Zoom/Volume Button up to 3 steps (Maximum: 2.5k) and it is reduced by 1 step by pressing [W]. (Minimum: 1k) ≥In the following cases, the Zoom magnification returns to 1k. -Turning the power off. -Setting the Power/Mode Switch to [PLAY]. Night View Function This function allows you to record brighter color images brightly in a dark place. 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [REC] and set the operation mode to [MPEG4]. 2Press [ ] for approx. 1 second. ≥ [ ] indication appears, and the image becomes brighter. ≥Press [ ] for approx. 1 second again to resume Normal Recording mode. ≥Night View Function works by extending the signal storage (exposure) time of the CCD image sensor. It is normal for some picture degradation to occur-This is not a malfunction. 28 Backlight Compensation Function This prevents a recording subject from being recorded too dark in backlight. (Backlight is the light that shines from behind a recording subject.) 1Set the Power/Mode Switch to [REC] and set the operation mode to [PICTURE] or [MPEG4]. 2Press [ª] for approx. 1 second. ≥The [ª] Indication is displayed. ≥Press [ ª] for approx. 1 second again to resume Normal Recording mode. ≥In the following cases, the Backlight Compensation function is released. -Turning the power off. -Setting the Power/Mode Switch to [PLAY]. Adjusting White Balance The SD Video Camera adjusts White Balance automatically. However, depending on the scene or light condition, the Automatic White Balance may not be able to bring out natural colors. 29 Erasing the Files Recorded on a Memor y Card Using SD Video Camera, you can erase files recorded on the Memory Card. After files are erased, they cannot be restored. 1Play back the file to be erased or pause it. 30 Protecting Files (File Protection) Precious files recorded on the Memory Card can be locked to prevent accidental erasure. 1Play back the file to be locked or pause it.
