    Note•Never short-circuit positive (+) and negative (–) speaker 
    wires.
    Incorrect connection can damage the speakers. •If the speaker cords have vinyl tips, twist the vinyl tip and 
    pull off.
    •Confirm the colors of the tags on the ends of the cords.
    •For White tags, connect to grey terminals.
    For Blue, Black and Red tags, connect so tag colors match 
    the terminal colors.

    1Select a disc tray.
    •The unit turns on automatically.
    •When a CD is already loaded, the unit comes on automatically and starts play (One 
    touch play).
    2Open the CD lid.

    •It may take some time for play to start but this is normal.

    This unit can only play music data (AAC/MP3/WMA) recorded in the SD 
    standard audio format. Other SD audio formats cannot be played.

    Note•Do not open the card lid during play as play stops.
    •You can use SD cards with capacities between 8MB and 1GB on this

    •The program is cleared when you remove the disc or the card.
    •You can search forward or backward only within the current track.
    •You cannot clear a specified track from the program.

    Press and hold [PLAY MODE, –REPEAT] until 
    “REPEAT ON” is displayed.
    “REP)” [“PGM)” in program play and “RND)” in random play] appears on 
    the display.

    •Repeat play is canceled when the unit stops play.

    19 Cassette tapes
    TPS may not operate correctly in the following situations:
    •If the interval between tracks is less than 4 seconds.
    •If there is noise between tracks.
    •If there are silent parts within tracks.
    1Press to open and insert a cassette.
    •Make sure that the cassette is fully inserted and close the cassette 
    lid by hand.
    •The cassette tape indicator lights on the display.
    2Start play.
    •To play the other side of the tape, turn the tape over and restart 
    play.

    Use normal position tapes.
    High position and metal position tapes can be played, but the unit is not 
    able to do full justice to the characteristics of these tapes.
    •Tapes exceeding 100 minutes are thin and can break or get caught in 
    the mechanism.
    •Tape slack can get caught up in the mechanism and should be wound 
    up before the tape is played.
    •Endless tapes can get caught up in the deck’s moving parts if used 
    incorrectly.

    You can enjoy more powerful bass on wide range speakers.
    Press [H.BASS].Every time you press the button:
    H.BASS 1: Add powerful bass (factory preset)
    H.BASS 2: Further increases the power of the bass
    •The H.BASS indicator lights on.
    Note•You cannot change H.BASS during recording.
    •The effect may be less discernible with some sound sources.
    Discs recorded at 32 kHz, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz
    This feature reproduces the frequencies lost during recording to give you 
    a sound closer to the original.
    During play
    Press [RE-MASTER].
    Every time you press the button:
    Note•You cannot change RE-MASTER during recording.
    •This does not work when playing WMA files recorded to a SD card.
