Precauciones para escuchar
con los auriculares
No utilice los auriculares con un volumen alto. Los
expertos en el sistema auditivo no recomiendan utilizarlos
para escuchar con ellos de forma continua durante mucho
tiempo.
Si nota silbido en sus oídos, reduzca el volumen o deje
de utilizarlos.
No los utilice mientras maneja un vehículo motorizado.
Esto puede constituir un peligro para el tráfico y es ilegal

Avertissement relatif aux

N’utilisez pas vos écouteurs à un volume élevé. Les ex-
perts du système auditif déconseillent l’écoute prolongée.
En cas de sifflement dans les oreilles, baissez le vol-
ume ou cessez d’utiliser les écouteurs.
N’utilisez pas les écouteurs en conduisant un engin à
moteur. Outre le fait que ceci est illégal dans de nombreux
pays, vous risqueriez de causer un accident.
Dans des situations potentiellement dangereuses,
utilisez les écouteurs en exerçant la plus grande vigi-
lance ou cessez temporairement de l’utiliser.
Même si vos écouteurs sont du type plein air vous
permettant d’entendre les bruits extérieurs, n’augmentez
pas le volume au point de ne plus entendre ce qui se
passe autour de vous.
Le volume sonore peut être trompeur. Au fil du temps,
votre “niveau de confort” acoustique s’adapte à des vol-
umes sonores plus puissants si bien qu’un son que vous
jugez “normal” peut en fait être fort et dangereux pour
votre ouïe.
Protégez-vous contre ceci en réglant votre appareil sur
un niveau sûr AVANT que votre ouïe ne s’adapte au vol-
ume sonore.
Afin d’établir un niveau sûr :
• Réglez la commande de volume à un niveau bas.
• Augmentez lentement le volume jusqu’à ce que vous
entendiez le son confortablement et clairement, sans
distorsion.
Après avoir établi un niveau de son confortable :
• Réglez la molette et laissez-la sur ce réglage.
Attention
•Cessez d’utiliser les écouteurs en cas d’inconfort.

•Pour éviter d’endommager les écouteurs, protégez-

•Une mauvaise utilisation des piles peut provoquer

Listening caution
Do not play your earphones at a high volume. Hearing
experts advise against continuous extended play.
If you experience a ringing in your ears, reduce volume
or discontinue use.
Do not use while operating a motorized vehicle. It may
create a traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas.
You should use extreme caution or temporarily discon-
tinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
Even if your earphones are the open-air type designed
to let you hear outside sounds, don’t turn up the volume
so high that you can’t hear what’s around you.
Sound can be deceiving. Over time your hearing “com-
fort level” adapts to higher volumes of sound. So what
sounds “normal” can actually be loud and harmful to your
hearing.
Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe
level BEFORE your hearing adapts.
To establish a safe level:
•Start your volume control at a low setting.
•Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it
comfortably and clearly, and without distortion.
Once you have established a comfortable sound level:
•Set the dial and leave it there.

For optimum performance and safety, please read these instructions carefully.
The noise canceling functionEnvironmental noises in airplanes, trains, and buses, and noise caused by air-con-
ditioners is reduced by a third, providing a quieter listening environment. This func-
tion allows you to enjoy music without raising the volume too high, and is, therefore,
kinder to your ears.
This unit mainly reduces the annoying low frequency sounds below 1500 Hz. For
this reason, sounds with higher frequency portions, from car horns, telephones and
human voices, remain relatively intact.

 Inserting the battery
 Open the battery lid.Insert the included battery.
Press in and down on the  end.
Match the poles ( and ). Close the battery lid.
If rechargeable batteries are to be used, rechargeable batteries manufactured by
Panasonic are recommended.
When to change the battery
The battery should be changed when the [OPR] indicator fades or fails to light. The
noise canceling function becomes less effective as the battery wears down.
If the battery is worn down, or if a battery isn’t inserted at all, the unit acts like normal
earphones.
 Using the earphones
 Turn down the volume on the audio equipment and insert the earphone
plug (3.5 mm(1/8 in.) stereo) into the phone jack.
The earphone plug may not suit the jacks used on some aircraft.
Check the sides (L and R), then put the earphones on.
Start play on the audio unit and adjust its volume.Turn on the noise canceling function.
 Switch [OPR] to “ON”.
The [OPR] indicator lights.
 Select the noise canceling level with [NOISE CANCEL].
Select “MAX” under normal circumstances. Select “MID” for a lower level of
noise canceling.
 Adjust the volume.
Volume changes when the noise canceling function is on. Adjust the volume
with [VOLUME] on the controller or readjust the volume on the equipment.
You may have to change the position of the earphones to get the best noise cancel-
ing effect.

Fit between the main unit and plug as close as possible to the main unit.

La fonction de suppression de bruitLes bruits ambiants qui règnent dans les avions, les trains et les bus, ainsi que le
bruit généré par les appareils de climatisation, sont réduits d’un tiers afin de fournir
un environnement d’écoute plus silencieux. Cette fonction vous permet d’écouter de
la musique sans pousser le volume trop haut et procure donc un son plus agréable
à l’oreille.
Cet appareil réduit essentiellement les bruits de basse fréquence gênants en dessous
de 1.500 Hz. Pour cette raison, les sons aux fréquences supérieures, tels que les
klaxons de voiture, les sonneries de téléphone et les voies humaines, restent
relativement intacts.

Si l’on doit utiliser des batteries rechargeables, il est recommandé d’utiliser des
piles rechargeables de marque Panasonic.
Quand remplacer la pileUn allumage faible ou l’absence d’allumage du témoin [OPR] indique qu’il faut
remplacer la pile. La fonction de suppression de bruit devient moins efficace au fur
et à mesure que la pile s’épuise.
Si la pile est usée ou si aucune pile n’est insérée, l’appareil fonctionne comme des
écouteurs normaux.
 Utilisation des écouteurs
Baissez le volume sur l’équipement audio et insérez la fiche des écouteurs
(stéréo 3,5 mm (1/8 po.)) dans la prise pour écouteur.
La fiche des écouteurs peut ne pas convenir aux prises équipant certains avions.
Vérifiez les côtés (G et D) puis mettez les écouteurs en marche.
Commencez la lecture sur l’équipement audio et réglez son volume.

Il se peut que vous deviez modifier la position des écouteurs pour obtenir l’effect
maximal d’annulation du bruit.

La función de anulación de ruidoLos ruidos ambientales en aviones, trenes y autobuses, y el ruido causado por
acondicionadores de aire se reduce un tercio aproximadamente, proporcionando
así un ambiente de escucha más silencioso. Esta función le permite disfrutar de la
música sin subir excesivamente el volumen, y es, por supuesto, más considerada
con sus oídos.
Esta unidad reduce principalmente los sonidos molestos de baja frecuencia de menos
de 1.500 Hz. Por este motivo, los sonidos con frecuencias más altas como, por
ejemplo, los de bocinas de automóviles, teléfonos y voces humanas permanecen
relativamente intactos.

Cuándo cambiar la pilaLa pila deberá cambiarse cuando el indicador [OPR] pierda intensidad o no se
encienda. La función de anulación de ruido pierde efectividad al agotarse la pila.
Si la pila está agotada o si no se ha insertado una pila, la unidad funcionará como
unos auriculares normales.
 Utilización de los auriculares
 Baje el volumen en el equipo de audio e inserte la clavija de los auriculares
(3,5 mm (1/8”), estéreo) en la toma de los auriculares.
La clavija de los auriculares tal vez no pueda conectarse en las tomas de algunos
aviones.
Compruebe los lados izquierdo y derecho (L y R) y luego póngase los au-
riculares.
Inicie la reproducción en el equipo de audio y ajuste su volumen.Active la función de anulación de ruido.Ponga [OPR] en “ON”.
El indicador [OPR] se enciende.
Seleccione el nivel de anulación de ruido con [NOISE CANCEL].
Bajo circunstancias normales, seleccione “MAX”. Seleccione “MID” para un
nivel de anulación de ruido inferior.
Ajuste el volumen.
El volumen cambia cuando está activada la función de anulación de ruido.
Ajuste el volumen con [VOLUME] en el controlador o reajuste el volumen en
