11 Connecting a Cable Box to the Hard Disk Recorder 1. Connect the incoming television signal to the IN jack on your cable box. 2. Connect the RF cable from the OUT jack on your cable box to the ANT/CATV IN jack on the Hard Disk Recorder. 3. Attach the cable box controller. 17 Connecting and Setting Up the IR Blaster If your satellite receiver has a serial connector, use the serial connector instead of the IR blaster.
