Notes on projector placement and operation T he projector uses a high-wattage lamp that becomes very hot during operation. Please observe the following precautions . 1. Never place objects on top of the projecto r. 2. Make sure ther e is an unobstructed space of 1,000 mm (3 feet 3 inches) or mo re ar ound the pro- jector’ s exhaust openings. 3. Do not stack projector units directly on top of one another for the purpose of multiple (stacked) pr ojection. When stacking projector units, be sure to provide the amount of space indicated below between them. These space requir ements also apply to installations where only one projector unit is operating at one time and the other unit is used as a backup. 4. Make sure that nothing blocks the projector’ s air intake and exhaust openings. Also, install the pro- jector so that cool or hot air from other air conditioning equipment does not flow directly toward the projector’ s air intake or exhaust openings . 5. Do not install the projector in an enclosed space. If it is necessary to install it in an enclose d s pace, add a separate ventilation system. If ventilation is insuf ficient, hot air will accumulate at the intake opening. This may cause the projector’ s pr otective circuit to interrupt projector operation. 6. If the projector is installed in an enclosed space, ensure that the projector’ s intake and exhaust o penings are not blocked. Take particular care to ensur e that hot air from the exhaust openings is not sucked into the intake openings. 7. When installing the projector in any manner other than floor mounting with the adjuster legs, use the four threaded ceiling mount holes (screw diameter: M6, projector interior thread length: 12 mm) to secure the projecto r. Do not stack pr ojector units dire ctly on top of one another. 1000 mm 0 (3 ft 3 in) or more 50 0 mm (1 ft 8 in) or more 1000 mm 0 (3 ft 3 in) or more 10 0 mm (4 in) or more As of August 2014 15/16 PT-EX510/EX510LLCD Projectors SFL14M020
