■ [Effect]
Sets special effects when shutter is opened and 
closed.
1) 
Select [Effect], and press the  
button.

Does not set special effects.
[L 1] Sets fade in and fade out when the 
shutter is opened and closed.
[L 2] Sets slower fade in and fade out 
than L1.

Sets the release button when shutter is closed.

[Any][SHUTTER]
[Any] The shutter function is canceled by 
pressing any button on the remote 
control or projector body, and the 
function of the pressed button is 
executed.
[SHUTTER] Only the  button on the 
remote control or the control panel 
can be canceled.
Note ■
z If the power is turned on again after the power is 
turned off during the setting or the lamp is turned off 
with the [Management] setting, the shutter function 
is canceled.
■
z The setting of the selected item is enabled.
■
■ [Management]
Sets a time between closing of the shutter and the 
lamps turning off.
1) 
Select [Management], and press the 
 button.

z You can set times from 5 - 480 minutes.
Note ■
z When the management function is active, the lamp 
is turned off and the projector will begin a cooling 
operation.
■
z When cooling has finished, the power of the 
projector body is turned off and the standby 
indicator  turns on.

z The shutter indicator  begins flashing 
in blue as the cooling operation begins.
■
z The flashing continues after the cooling has 
finished and the standby indicator  has 
turned on.
■
z The flashing stops when the projector power is 
turned on again.
■
z The power management function does not work 
when the image is blocked by the [Shutter].
■
z The factory default setting is “180 minutes”.
■
z You can set the time while the function cannot be 
set to off.

Sets when you want to speed up digital processing of 
the images being projected.

time is 10%.

z When the remaining time drops to 10% or below, 
 is displayed, and when it reaches 0%,  is

Sets a time to display a notification that the filter 
has reached the end of its replacement cycle.

Select [Filter counter timer], and press 
the  button.

Restarts the count-up or countdown that was

z The count-up is returned to “000:00” and the 
countdown is returned to the time set on the 
timer.

Exits the presentation timer during operation.

finished, the projector returns to the test pattern.
[Factory default]
Returns settings other than the following to the factory 
default settings.

If an indicator turns on
If a problem occurs within the projector, it will be notified with the temperature indicator /filter 
indicator /shutter indicator /lamp indicator  and .
Check the status of the indicators and take the following action.Attention■
z Make sure to follow the procedures in “Powering off the projector” (
 page 44) to control the power when 
implementing measures.

z If multiple indicators have turned on or are flashing, check the status of each indicator and take the appropriate 
action.

turn off, and the projector will turn off automatically. 
The projector will not turn back on even when pressing

temperature, the standby indicator  will 
change to on. The projector will turn back on when 
pressing the power  button on the 
remote control or the power 
 button on the 
control panel. (The temperature indicator  will remain flashing.) Check the air filter.

The projector has cooled inside, and returned to 
operating temperature. Pressing the power  button on the remote control or the power

A problem has been detected within the projector.
The projector will not turn back on even when pressing 
the power  button on the remote control 
or the power 
 button on the control panel. 
Remove the power plug from the outlet, and plug it 
back in again.
If the power turns off, or the indicator turns on or 
flashes again, remove the power plug from the outlet 
and contact your dealer to request an inspection and 
repair. Do not leave the projector plugged in with the 
indicator on or flashing. Doing so may cause a fire or 
electric shock.
*1:  The indicator will flash in approximately 0.5-second intervals.

■ When there is a problem with the air filter
The status of the indicator is displayed with the following symbols.
