[PICTURE] menu 42 - ENGLISH Settings ■ [MONITOR POSITION] You can set the display position of the input waveform during the FULL SCAN display. Switch settingsSwitch settings [ ■ AUTO ADJUST] The luminance level of the output signal from a connected external device is automatically adjusted by setting the automatic waveform adjustment items. Press the button. 1) Press the ▲▼ buttons to select the 2) required item. [AUTO ADJUST] cannot be executed if the [WAVEFORM z MONITOR] is [OFF]. Project the luminance adjustment signal of a commercial z test disk etc., and perform automatic adjustment. However, even with an adjustment disk, correct adjustment may not be possible if noise is included on the disk itself or the playback device generates noise. [AUTO ADJUST] adjusts based on the 0% and 100% z standard signal within the screen, so correct adjustment cannot be performed if standard signals are not displayed on the screen because of overscan etc., or if a signal that is less than 0% or greater than 100% is displayed on the screen. When 3D is being displayed (including converting 2D to z 3D), the [WAVEFORM MONITOR] cannot be executed. ■ Adjust the waveform Project the brightness adjustment signal of a commercial test disk (0% [0 IRE or 7.5 IRE] - 100% [100 IRE] ) and perform adjustment. [PICTURE] menu 44 - ENGLISH Settings [SPLIT ADJUST] You can perform image adjustment for some [PICTURE] menu items while displaying a certain area of the frozen image in a split window. [PICTURE] menu ENGLISH - 45 Settings Note You cannot adjust menu items that are displayed in grey z during split adjustment. The [KEYSTONE] of [POSITION] becomes inactive z during split adjustment. When a 3D signal is being input (including converting 2D z to 3D), the [SPLIT ADJUST] cannot be executed. [ADVANCED MENU] You can perform more detailed image adjustment manually. Press the button The [ADVANCED MENU] menu is displayed. z ■ [GAMMA ADJUSTMENT] You can make detailed adjustments to the light intensity of each input signal level by using the [ADVANCED] mode, or adjust at 3 levels (high, mid, low) by using the [SIMPLE] mode. Note You can only carry out the [GAMMA ADJUSTMENT] z through either the [ADVANCED] or [SIMPLE] mode. Both settings cannot be used at the same time. WeakenStrengthen Setting range: 0 to +3 z Attention Use a strong setting when projecting an MPEG video. z COMPUTER (RGB) signal is not supported. z ■ [FRAME CREATION] You can activate the rendering system for fast motion frames with fewer afterimage. Switch settingsSwitch settings [OFF][MODE1] [MODE3][MODE2] [OFF] Deactivate [MODE1] Setting for a standard image [MODE2] Setting for a theater image [MODE3] Setting for a fast moving image Note With some of the images, it might be difficult to see a z difference in result. If [FRAME CREATION] is set to active, video may be z delayed in some cases. In this case, select [OFF]. This cannot be set to active when [2D TO 3D] z ( page 66) is enabled. ■ [COLOR MANAGEMENT] For the selected [PICTURE MODE], you can adjust a selected color individually with [CURSOR] mode or adjust the six color components (Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow) with [RGBCMY] mode. Adjustment results can be saved as a profile and called later. ● Create a new profile Note [COLOR MANAGEMENT] will be unable to adjust with z the setting of [REC709] in [PICTURE MODE], when HDMI signal is selected. When the input signal is switched while adjusting, z adjustment details are not saved. If there is another area, which has the exact same or z similar color as the target on the same screen, these colors will be adjusted as well. You can adjust all colors except white, gray and black. z If you edit a single color to be individual different colors, z the desired color may not be achieved. When a 3D signal is being input (including converting 2D z to 3D), [COLOR MANAGEMENT] cannot be executed. Adjusting the selected color (when z [CURSOR] is selected for [ADJUSTMENT MODE]) Select the desired color with a cursor and adjust. Press the ◄► buttons to select [CURSOR] 1) in [ADJUSTMENT MODE].
